All I have to say to this is… and this goes to every one who see it like this not just Peru, is that there are a ton of lurkers that don’t post. There are a mass amount of people who while they may not speak are always reading the forums. Each of them is an individual who may take what you guys say to heart. Just because some random person doesn’t listen to you on a forum doesn’t mean a lurker might not listen at all. I guess in essence what I’m trying to say is, don’t get mad when it seems some random person isn’t listening to you on a forum because I’m telling you there’s always some one out there that is. They may be silent and never speak up but regardless of that each and every good post is a step forward to helping every Fuerte around the world and its sad to loose any one over a little salt.
Any way from my Tournament experience from NEC XI I learned alot about my Fuerte. I need to work on my spacing and patience immensely both of the matches I lost in pools I knew I could have beaten the guys I played but lost due to a combination of poor defense and over aggressiveness
Big points i need to work on as well are upping my reaction time and working on my execution for ultra/ and set ups for itI don’t know why but RSF seems to be easier for me to do then ultra is alot of the times and thats just sad- I think it stems from the fact that RSF is a lot easier to practice then ultra is, just because its only when I’m under pressure that it breaks on me.
3rd game of my first match in pools * and this made me sad* I got zoned out by kunai’s from ibuki, its a dam pain trying to chase ibuki down when you loose the life lead and all she’s doing is jumping back away from you and throwing kunai’s. And whats sad is I know better then to jump after her but instead to just slowly walk her into the corner but I wasn’t playing smart and it costed me the game. Its the little things that get to me some times but I’m going to try to break away from my bad habits so silly things like this don’t happen
thank you for saying this spab. it’s really been on my mind for the longest time. anw im still at nec right now but yeah, learnt lots during my time here. hit you up soon.
dude you were at nec? did i see you? i was playing fuerte too. i only saw two other fuertes, a dude named cooper and a guy that we met in teams from jersey/philly.
I lurk this forum almost every day…I am going to agree heavily with those last two posts…
"Alright guys… you gotta stop treating fuerte as a troll character. instead of saying that hes meant to just piss people off is really a waste of time of playing. Idk how anyone can find enjoyment out of just taunting, in the end, you should always try to win. If you guys wanna be ultimately better, then try to take everything seriously. What separates the competitors from the pretenders is attitude. If your just gonna play then just fool around in the end, no point of playing at all. Naming normals isnt gonna solve problems and stuff."
Casual players think he is OP…and knowledged players don’t take him seriously…I can tell you one thing, If you don’t take yourself seriously, why would anyone else?
hey spore i was watching you on the stream during NEC
when you got a chance to rsf, you’d do it 2x then go into a gordita sobat, is that an execution error to transition to rs cr. forward? or do you intend to do gordita.
If thats the case, why do you do it rather then doing the rsf?
Yeah I wanted to do RSF into RS c.mk into run back stop to bait noel to jump. My bad. I also gave him too much respect because I play him a lot at cf. all good tho, you learn sth each time you play so I’m not too salty bout it. Till next time I guess.
@ spore Yeah man I was at NEC was looking for other fuerte’s but all I saw was an old fuerte friend of mine I met back in otakon along with KDZwho I also met at oktan and doesn’t play fuerte and scisonic practicing RSF before his team match randomly other then that I didn’t really see any fuerte’s lol. But seriously man pools was tiring having every one huddle at 8 pm standing in front of a row of 10 tv’s just waiting for their names to be called out lol. It got wayyy to hot in there. I remember reading the capacity of the room at the door saying only 63 people musta had at least twice that much just standing in the one side of the room.
on a side note any one going to winter brawl? Since its in philly I’ll totally be going to that
Honestly, what’s more annoying is that tournament players think that they’re the only ones who have anything to offer this forum. It’s evident when they talk like the have been doing over the past few days. If someone disagrees with them, automatically they’re “not worth it” and shouldn’t be playing the game… Ridiculous. Everyone has their play-style.
I really respect the information that spab and others bring into the forum, but there’s plenty of other things that guys figure out by just sitting in training mode that’s useful. Just because they don’t play tournaments doesn’t mean they don’t play regularly off-line with friends and good players etc.
QBomb is ass, and I’ll never use it since it deprives me of a kick button, but cobreggo (sp?) gets good usage out of it and he’s a solid Fuerte.
As I mentioned. I was gonna flirt with Cammy’s Spiral Arrow.
Training Mode:
Far standing MP, far mk, lk, and cr lp all stuff cammy’s spiral arrow. I found cr lp the most reliable on reaction and NO cr mk lost to Spiral Arrow every time.
Dropkick works but it’s too unreliable. Versus medium spiral arrow I went over her.
Q-bomb’s startup makes it worthless here.
Light arrow is easy to smack out of with stand mp and cr lp.
See theory fighter below for my thought on Focus here.
Neutral jump feels like asking to get Cannon Spiked if at max range.
Ex is basically a shiny hard arrow.
Looking at the life bar, I found trades with mp and mk to be in our favor.
Theory fighter below (take it with a grain of salt):
I suppose this can be used to piss off Cammy and kill the clock. I feel it is viable instead of trying focus since I fear she can mash out a cannon spike.
This may get the opponent to try to uppercut your poke or (lol) go for spin knuckle.
lol no ones being elitist, everyone needs practice, even me. we alll got a long road to go. Thats why I posted what I did.
and look at the forum now. more vids posted, people talking about matches. good discoveries being found, it was to help everyone out. and so far so good.
just kidding, is there any reason why I can’t RSF Dhalsim after level 2 focus attack? I can but I have to almost mash that bugger out and it isn’t consistent so should I just go s. hk xx guac or run stop pressure?
Dhalsim and Dan both have stupid crumples when they are falling down from a lvl2+ focus
You have to wait till they are about to hit there knee’s to actually RSF them. Best way to get the timing down is by doing it in training mode a bunch but yeah this is the one reason I hate fighting Dan because I always screw up the timing for RSF on him after a focus crumple
all the characters that whiff after level 2 focus, you got to wait for them to land on there knees first. its actually easier to RSF on them for some reason. RSF on dhalsim rapes sooo bad.
