I think I just found something on Fuerte, and it may be old. Gordita Sorbat beats back dashes. I knew that move wasn’t useless.
OH damn that’s pretty cool. What’s the timing though, if it is late then I would might as well stay with slide or fajita.
yeah kuma, gordita sobat is pretty good. espescially if you hit them max range. you can sneak a s.mp xx run > tortilla. and if they jump, you can hit them with ultra =)
After doing a little bit of testing with Ibuki in the training room, it isn’t the ultimate back dash killer. It’s a bit tricky, but it seems to do with your timing for whether or not it hits. With Ibuki, it seemed that I had to hit her on the dash recovery to get her. I’m not going to have time today, but I’m figuring that we basically have a safe tactic here if they back dash. Get the timing off a little bit and you may be safe. If they block, you have the advantage.
Of course, I think this is to be used for certain matchups. I’d never use it against someone with DP unless I’ve conditioned them to back dash.
Still, I did not think about the safe advantage of the move, it’s still very useful against backdashes of non-dp chars so yeah good find. I find this to be very effective especially against chun and guy, those two usually backdash.
Gordita sobat has air frames like close mk to. So it can avoid command grabs. Useful vs no meter Abel? I mentioned gordita earlier. But perhaps it IS best when you train them to back dash.
I know we shouldn’t whore frames. But what is the frames for recovery whiff block and hit?
TRAINING MODE!!!
I think max range gordita to far mp or target combo will be pissing people off. Sounds like a gimmick. Wait. Can that be fadc’d?
Also. Just raped the piss out a gouken. Too bad he forgot about backdash and tatsu
From EventHubs:
If I’m right, you can Sorbat FADC Ultra Spark?!
cl.mk has air frames? Are these immediate? Like, could I use them against t.hawk if he tries to jab - command grab me? Or would I not get air born early enough?
T.Hawk is like… my nemesis… Very tough for me to beat him with anyone. He is like my personal gief lol.
No, he was talking about standing close MK. That has some airborne frames.
might catch someone sleeping. But eh.
this was shown in one of the fuerte videos you see gief try for ultra and get kicked. I forgot who postedit. Will link it here later after work. If you predict command grab do it. Hawks love to whiff dive and command grab.
If hawk dives and you block free ultra spark or run slide.
very very random, but i think sorbat would be dope if it was an over head. he kinda jumps when he does it and his legs goes in a spinning downwardish motion.

Here’s some stuff that MIGHT help in the rose matchup.
max range s.RH can beat out cr.mp. Just do it ahead of time, you cant really outpoke it. you can out guess it, and push her away. the damage hurts her
s.MP destroys s.MK from rose. you can outpoke it at that range and play somewhat footsies. Still needs more testing but useful I guess.

subscribe too =). ill try to upload videos. btw this was done on pad. so yeah lol…
Run stop Shower.
Gracias.
Rose is hot and all. But Jeez she’s rough for Fuerte
interesting note… during my rape of Gouken I had whiffed close MP and then a close fierce. Gouken did wake up command parry and you see the fierce punch on him… wtf was that all about…
so if i predict spd or spd ultra i sorbat? Or should I stick to neutral jump?
Gordita sobat is during a run. I doubt a situation like that would present itself. but you CAN do Close MK (which is basically Gordita sobat) up close when you predict command grab Perhaps we should confirm this incase anything of these moves were changed in SSF4 since the vid’s from Vanilla
you can s.mk over abel’s command grab. Close s.mk that is. also you can beat out grabs after air to airs. when you land you can s.mk. and itll usually beat it.
I just don’t like that move it seems so weird. I’ll test it out on counterhit to see if you can link stuff from it.
