No disrespect, but half the people here were saying the same thing about changes from vanilla to super. Its fine to speculate at this point, but we’re best just to wait shit out until it actually drops for real.
Additionally, could wakeup dash be a mistranslation? Could it possibly mean EX guac?
I get you man, I might be overreacting, just feeling a bit discouraged now but its way too early for talking about subs and dropping the game just gets me worried when they test some really weird stuff since the THOUGHT of nerfing itself occurs to Capcom a LOT.
Regarding the translation, I can read some katakana and first word in that line is “Habanero” without a doubt, no mention of guac at all.
About the second line, there is one far reaching move that has its priority improved (used online dictionary and help from a friend who knows decent japanese), maybe its dropkick?
I’m just happy that years of watching NicoNico Douga reloads on Youtube have paid off.
Right now, I’m not too worried about his changes. This is a location test after all. I would prefer they test out extremes than not to. Besides, I still remember that the development team (or at least some of their members) considered Fuerte their favorite character so I think the team wouldn’t want their favorite to suck.
I don’t remember where, but there was a quote stating somewhere that El Fuerte isn’t meant to be high-tier, possibly to keep appeal to the SF hardcore fans who bitch about him everywhere.
I don’t understand why Capcom is doing that when it misses already 20% now then it did in Vanilla. If they don’t fix any of El Fuerte moves back to Vanilla. I’m going to switch to Yang or R. Mika if she’s in the game.
I remember reading somewhere that Capcom likes making their own favorite characters weak just to show that they are not biased, hopefully that won’t be a factor in making decisions on Fuerte. I can’t completely trust them on what they plan to do, but I will try my best to remain calm and not panic, since this is early testing afterall.
Bringing Dropkick’s hitbox back to vanilla level would be a true relief, I honestly feel its the nerf that hurt my gamestyle with Fuerte the most.
its sad! the move is already unsafe as it is. one quick focus and were eating a big combo. now we have to deal with fajita buster start up on tostada press!!
This! Makes me feel good to see such devotion to the mask Heard that Capcom? Give us a proper mask or no game!
One thought that helps me feel better, is that some people are quicker to find negatives than positives, so maybe there were some improvements with Fuerte that were unnoticed that could potentially make him a better character overall. I am sure Giga Buster wasn’t tested for example, maybe it got improved to make it a lot more viable? (pure speculation on my part of course)
Had a nice long session today. Played a person who is good with multiple characters, kept going back and forth with him and it was a blast! Ended the session with a very intense match against Cammy and me winning it barely, never before I fought a proper Cammy player so this was great matchup experience, she is definitely one of the harder matchups.
