does cr.mk into slide really work? I can’t get it to work on auto block training mode characer

If that worked I’m sure everyone whocan do rscrmk would do three crmk then slide

I see Fuerte jumping to S tier with those changes, Densuo LOL. Really, I’d like EX backrun to have some throw immunity, at least at startup or something, it’s really demoralizing to get thrown out of that ._.

Those are at the top for me. I would also add one more: revert dropkick’s hitbox to vanilla as well.

Qbomb having less startup time would be huge! its like adding a whole new special to Fuerte in a way. Tortilla definitely needs to get its vanilla properties back in terms of hitbox, I feel like this was the nastiest nerf Fuerte had in Super.

Oh, and NO more nerfs please! Capcom please pay proper attention to our beloved luchador this time beyond the scope of just a new ultra!

Why the bloody hell can’t I corpse hop over Honda?

I first noticed that with my big Honda match. I just figured that my spacing was off, but I guess you can’t corpse hop over Blanka, Rufus, and Honda.

Honda? I’ll double check. I’m usually too scared of him to try that. I think that’s a good idea for a thread…

Tortilla was my go to move in vanilla. Now I’m relying more on shenanigans. It’s still good as an anti air but I don’t understand nerf both grab range and damage.

I do honestly wonder if characters will be retweaked for arcade release.

I’m hoping so. I had a fling with Rufus due to his position on the tier list, but nobody turns out to be as fun as the luchador, even if over half the cast rapes me for free.

I think it’s very likely at this point. Whenever you add a character, you have to take into account all the matchups against the other characters. Inevitably, this will lead to characters getting tweaks for at least against that new character (not the best word choice, but I’ll go with it).

Mmm back to the Luchador now that I’ve returned from my trip. Shame I still lose to flowchart Kens. Do you guys honestly think they’ll rebuff what they nerfed with SSF4? Seems unlikely to me, though I guess I’ll remain hopeful

Okay… so it seems situational…

I know for a fact that a meaty c.mk can combo to slide, which makes a nice low wake up with untechable knock down. However it seems to be character dependent for a regular c.mk rs c.mk to combo… I couldn’t get it on ryu, but I did get it on sagat. I’ll play around more with it… Post back some results.

I just fought a Balrog and Bison player. God, I can’t seem to do anything against a Balrog down-backing unless I want to get hit.

Hmm, maybe stand at mid distance and try to bait stuff out and long range poke with far RK or gordita sobat since it’s safe on block and does good chip damage?

If I know someone is going to turtle, I just out turtle them, fuerte is a great counter turtle.

I absolutely wrecked some people tonight. I feel like when I’m on point all it takes is one focus attack to win. Crumple into RSF into a reset knockdown, guess right once on wakeup to stun them, then finish off the remainder of health with RSF. It’s enough to kill any of the characters with less than 1k health.

Sorry. I should elaborate. The only thing that ive been thinking of is a ‘confirmation’ section. there’s a few times when certain people want to test some things and it falls through the cracks.

Shenanigans:
do a bunch of run stops and see if he bites to try to “catch you sleeping” with a rush punch, Q-bomb that shit. sometimes I’ll stop and do a random focus attack to try and goad an armor breaking/slower rush punch. The point is to show him you’re not scared and your asking for a reason as to why you should be.

once you get a untechable knockdown. Back run stop neutral jump (jump at about max headbutt range) or tortilla holding back. buffer ultra.

this is important because god damn that fierce headbutt has more range than i realize. tend to always underestimate how far his fat head goes at clutch moments.

you can corpse hop over Honda at anytime. you just have to be as close as possible since his body is so long when prone on the ground. doesn’t matter which way Honda is facing. it is great since upon hopping most (scrubs) will go for butt stomp. stuff that a few times and they just cowardly hold downback for free dropkick overheads.

blanka cannot be corpse hopped if he is facing down (after tortilla) can hop if he is facing up (like after slide knockdown)

rufus cannot be corpse hopped. it is annoying. wish he had that fat hitbox when standing, too.

hey guys I haven’t posted in such a long time, not since halcyonryu was around (what happened to that guy?). I put off Fuerte a while ago to get the C to shining C achievement but now I’m back maining him. That achievement really opened my eyes on how different Fuerte is to the rest of the cast. Anyway, I just wanna say thank you to every contributor cuz you guys are a really big help towards getting me up to speed and making me more of a competent player. Thanks guys!

I just wish that characters’ hitboxes didn’t get larger when they charge focus. Normally-crossup splashes don’t when people focus a lot, and that is… a shame.
