El Fuerte General Discussion Thread

Play someone online and watch that replay if you have to.

just got a stick. It’s like starting from the beginning all over again :frowning:

Hey everybody =) I finally got to meet the singapore fuerte player Sporetempest. We’re gonna try our best to film matches that we play in CF and upload them so everyone can see. this is gonna be a nice little team we’re gonna have.

Add my GT “Sinix777” and I’ll help you out with RSF sometime.

I just realized the sad truth that I can link Fierces or c.Mks easier than I can link Fuerte’s jab. I still can’t do a simple f.mk->jab->lk->c.mk combo consistently. I can’t even link my lks into c.mk consistently in matches.

Oddly enough I can do this consistently. The only thing I cannot do is RSF. Well, I only get two hits from RScr.MK before falling over with shower kick. Unless I’m online then i just get pissy when I am reversal’d everytime.

I’ll be at Season’s Beatings in October. Once again hoping to make it out of pools get more than 2 or 3 hits when I attempt to RSFail.

I will be at Season’s beatings as well…we should all meet up and go out for taco’s or at least a group picture

wheres seasons beatings

so i’m finally able to do the run stop forward combo 4-5 times now! as a blockstring tho…

yay me =D

I’m trying to play Elf just for the lolz. How exactly do I perform his string of what look like fierce punches? Thanks.

EDIT: I think I found my answer. Its the “RSF” I was asking about. I’m going to assume its Run > Stop (Jab) > Fierce Punch > Repeat???

Yup RSF is what your talking about, takes lots of practice, so best thing is just try to find the rhythem and just start from there. Don’t get frustrated, itll get easier over time.

Yeah, thats how you do it.

I have a habit of walking up to my friends and then randomly hitting them with a Quesadilla Bomb.

Usually scares them.

its official…from here on forth the quesadilla bomb will be now called the D.Bomb…in honor of densou…

at season’s beatings I plan on MMing either gamerbee or sanford kelly…since there is no recording of me in action besides some old ass video there is nothing to compare except maybe mexiwont who is the only fuerte I face on PSN…I played kuma before but cant remember how it turned out…

shadow ace, some tips if you play sanford. Just commit to blocking, hes really good at hitting crouch techs. and he’ll block all your splashes and jump outta your tortillas. splashing in front of him works alot, so does fajita buster.

I don’t live to far from columbus so I was thinking of hitting up season’s beatings myself

The Event itself actually happens during my birthday lol

So I’m a fuerte main. There is no character I love as much as fuerte… after having my ryu affair and vicarious sakura obsession since sf2ww… Anyway, so I’ve been playing like a scrub, on psn ranked about 2000 bp… nothing special. But just today I decided to start really working combos into my fuerte game… shit hit the fans…

First - I can rsf 3-4 times, online I never go passed 2 though. Latency is too unreliable, so I either splash or slide after 2 hits. But here is the stuff I’ve been working on today: c.mk

After watching the run stop rape video, I was amazed and could do absolutely NOTHING in that vid… That was a week ago… Today I decided just to focus on basic fuerte combos. Nothing fancy like that, just some basic things to throw out toe to toe so I don’t always run like a bitch. Anyway so I found in the trials that you can link s.lk or c.lk to c.mk. I decided to work on this… Here is a new bnb combo for me that I’ve been able to pull off successfully online even with some lag.

c.mk ~ run stop ~ c.mk ~ run slide

I lead in to this combo with either c.mk as a punish for a wiffed move, or up close with the good ol’ option tech c.lp/lk, and also with the ever unexpected f.mk overhead advance.

Just with today’s practice and discovery… I swear I bumped my fuerte from 2k bp to 3k bp potential… My wake up games are no longer generic, although I still go at shoto’s first with some cross over splashes, just to get that nasty srk out of their head… but then it’s all combos. I’ve also been throwing far s.hk out as they are an overhead, and do nice damage.

Anyway, I’m still looking for more combo material!! so please anyone with any tips for me, can you post them up

Specifically I’m looking for some fuerte cross up material. I think that’s the main thing my fuerte is missing. I know the j.hp can cross over, but for the life of me I can’t get the spacing right… On ryu and seth there are many set ups for cross overs… does fuerte have any reliable set ups? Or do I just need to learn the spacing? Or should I work more on empty cross ups like I do with boxer?

Yo…cr. mk xx run stop cr. mk xx run stop throw is awesome. Fuerte’s most reliable crossup is still j. HP or j. HK in the corner against big guys like Sagat and Seth.

Do you guys think they will buff El Fuerte for the arcade version of Super Street Fighter 4. I would like for all of El Fuete’s move back how they were in vanilla. To me it’s really dumb almost all of El Fuere’s special and some of his normals got nerfed. Some damage wise, hitbox wise and even both.

If I could change one thing it would probably be to put back stun for RSF like in Vanilla

Give quesadilla bomb invincible frames like Balrog TAP and Cody’s Zonk knuckle. Decrease startup time of Quesadilla Bomb

ex quesadilla charge time reduced to 6 seconds.

get rid of the guacamole trade. It’s bullshit.

revert tortilla grab range to vanilla, keep it’s current damage

increase range and speed of Ultra Spark slightly

Giga Buster should do more damage then Ultra Spark. It’s harder to land.

Ex back run is unthrowable.

Make mk Guac have same range as current HK guac.

Make Hk guac have more horizontal range, ditto for EX guac.

Speed up close HK

allow quesadilla bomb to combo off of close HK

fix dead zone of run. I can understand not being able to do fajita/Tortilla during transition, but both runs have Sudden Stop and Tostada. They should be available.

Increase Fajita Buster stun/damage.

There. I fixed him.
