I’m still ashamed to say I have trouble with opponents who jump up/back all match. Could be online, but I end up getting stuffed most of the time. Most disheartening.
EX run into tostada. If you don’t have meter you can just sit back and build it if they keep jumping back.
Also CH overhead can link into RSF, which is probably old news but still awesome.
it’s news to me thanks for the tip
Ch overhead? Corpse hop?
He is using the term ‘link’ wrong. Its not a link. If you corpse hop, and the opponent doesnt adjust block, you can go for a meaty RSF. There is no link here.
Counter hit. Yeah I’m probably using link wrong, but it does combo.
What did you do to practice it?
You know, I’m starting to wonder if we should set up a rubric for an easier way to read matchup data. For example:
How can this character escape okizeme?
What is safe to use against this character during okizeme? - I.e. Tortilla against Rose.
What is not safe to use?
What situations are best for RSF?
Which part of the stage is this character best at? - I.e.in the corner, in the air, etc.
Where is this character worst at?
Which specials can you counter with Ultra Spark with (including which versions don’t)? We have some of this compiled.
What are this character’s best pokes?
Should I turtle if I get the life lead?
Oh god. This. Mashing is worse then bad block discipline. Hell it IS the cause of it.
I concur with kumaoso.
viper can be a little rough if you let her run all over you, put that bitch in her place. once you train them to stop mashing ex seismo, it becomes a lot simpler. if she’s blocking and teching everything, you’re way too predictable.
I recorded a training dummy doing this: jump in with HK > SRK. I later realized that 1) this is much harder to successfully catch with Ultra and 2) most opponents don’t do this unless a) they’re a scrub or b) they have enough meter to FADC the SRK.
It will probably be much easier (and more realistic) to set the training dummy to jump in and do a 2 or 3 hit combo (jump in with HK > c.LP > C.LP). Whatever combo you like would probably work fine.
Here’s my original training method but I recommend that you attempt a combo that doesn’t involve any SRKs. I tried to do this in training mode the other day and I found it to be MUCH harder to do.
Buenas,
¿Someone has links of videos about top japan El Fuerte players playing ssfiv?
Thank you!
Creo que tendremos que esperar hasta el liberacion arcade.
I hope that says, “I think we’ll have to wait until the arcade release.”
that actually does link off of counter hit I never knew o.o That is fricken useful
No no. You’re all good. I didnt realise A) that you were talking about a counter hit, and B) that cl.hp combos off of f.mk. on counter hit.
Im going to need to test that. I get shit-tons of counter hit f.mks on people poorly timing their OST’s, so being able to go straight into RSF would be awesome.
Quesadilla Bomb > rose U2…abuse if you like
This pleases me. But now that I think about it. Does it beat her annoying f+ mk and/or soul spiral?
Does this mean you can counter roses ultra 2 by doing a meaty Quesadilla Bomb?
umm maybe ex will beat out both, but im sure that regular Qbomb beats u2
and yup, meaty qbomb > her
EDIT: ONLY EX-QBOMB works against U2… I think it only worked with regular because i got a counter hit
So I’m probably headed to my very first Barfight/Ranbat over the weekend, and was wondering if anyone feels like hopping on Live to help me figure out what’s wrong with my Fuerte. I’m still a scrub, but any tips/casuals would be extra fresh.
