Entertainment dude. What’s the main reason CC2011 was great? Huge international turnout from investing into it. What if that happened once a month, or new cool shows like Ultrachen or CC Live were made? It’s not about guys like us getting paid, it’s seeing a better level of product. Guys like Justin still have a job, what if he was salary and practiced his new fighting games job and did some Desk combo vid stuff live? Yeah obviously the “figureheads” of FGC want some cash, no doubt. But I just wanna see cool shit happen and more hype moments instead of Hagrid trying to figure out what a chick’s poop tastes like on air.

CC2011 was like a tricked out sbo if sbo didn’t ban north american teams last minute. That wouldn’t have happened in Calgary the way it did if Lapchi was ceo of MLG. That event nothing to do with profit motive and was more rad because of it. In regards to the streams. How can someone complain about something you pay nothing for? Streams (most) are free and you get what you pay for. It’s way more rad that everything is still underground imo.

I think that’s a little too tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. They just put in community figures for commentators, and with no formal camera training this is what can happen. FGC has always had a bad reputation and it’s because of retards like this dude and the triforces of the world who get in front of a camera and say stupid shit. The FGC has shot itself in the foot more times than any other scene, because over half the scene are grown ass children.

eSports & FG’s are inevitable but the idiots who represent the NA FGC keep fucking it up for the rest. The bottom line is to get FG’s into a place where people can start earning good coin from this, both from a player perspective and production perspective.
There are so many benefits for the FGC to accept eSports & FG’s but hey, people don’t want to lose the ability to side bet on who scratches their ass first, scream racial slurs at the top of their lungs, and act like sheep by being scum on a stream chat. Stay free FGC.

Nobody played Mega Man…
They can’t play Cole, Mega Man or PacMan yet because they are locked. Apparently unlocking them is a Day 1 Patch. Spooky actually talked about that a couple times on his stream. There definitely are better characters they could have added though. More characters that people want = More DLC they can make money off of.

Aris or Hagrid?
Anyway Alvin brings up a good point on the drive to esports- its just NA FGC thats dumb as shit. If it was Japan or Europe (maybe? dunno much about their scene) the progression to bigger bucks would be just a matter of time. But with stuff happening over here, its beer leagues forever.
I know I was one who was hyped for OK, but I gotta admit I miss the BP’s hanging out feel of it. At first I thought longer game sessions made for better play but I can’t handle that, after a while I go on I-don’t-give-a-shit-autopilot and yeah. I don’t really know any owners of businesses that would be appropriate for this, short of peeking in windows of dead restaurants to see if any will jump at the chance of having new business at the cost of extra electricity. I know one place I drive by on my way home is always dead empty but I’ve never been there before and I think it’ll close soon, its one of those ever changing spots.
More than that, I just really wish we would have a place for sfxt to get hype in.

Anyone know how to tether a vita to a 3GS?
I Don’t think you can use a 3GS to tether a Vita. I know my 3GS can only tether through USB or Bluetooth but cannot create a WiFi hotspot, But the Vita can only do Wifi for internet because apparently Bluetooth doesn’t have a high enough bandwidth to run the interwebs for gaming.
