Out of curiosity, who in Edmonton (besides Stang, Beatrush, Khoa, Calvin, and I) is interested in trying out King of Fighters 13. I want to grow the KoF scene in Edmonton as much as possible, and I haven’t been this hungry in a fighter since the early SF4 days. Whoever is interested in the game, but doesn’t know how to get started can feel free to ask any of us for help (don’t ask Khoa because he’ll probably tell you to fuck off lol). Calvin will have his “Learn KoF” station going on tomorrow, and I want to guage interest in the game for future reference.

Our KoF group is really serious about the game to the point where we’re going to be attending a US major or two this year (contemplating between Final Round and NCR). We’re definitely hitting up Evo if KoF13 is announced in the line up tonight. Calgary is also showing an interest in the game so we’ll be setting up a 5v5 against them in a month or two. I want to assemble a team that will 5-0 them for free. So again, anyone who’s interested in the game come talk to us tomorrow.

I was a bit interested in KoFXIII. I played the game for a bit, and I started to have fun. I’m using Leona (I’m maining her although she’s hard to use :'D), K, and… Temporairly Ryo, which I may change. I see you guys streaming, but I get too shy to ask and play with you guys because of the stream (I don’t wanna make myself look so dumb xD). I did at some point wanted to get serious with the game, but I’m not sure… So I may need some help with getting better at it.
However I can’t attend on friday because I have plans. What about on wensdays?

Camilla you just had to ask us and we could have helped you on a different station off the stream. As a starting point I would use the following guides:

It’s particularly useful information since you are using Leona and her more complicated cancels can be simplified.

Again, to everyone else the offer still stands with helping anyone who’s interested in learning KoFXIII. Calvin and I are planning to attend NorCal Regionals to test our level and try to get Evo seed points, and then we’ll be attending Evo in July. The more people who come along for the ride the better.

i believe we have 4 people coming down for the tourney (minimum, this is the KOF community that’s coming up AFAIK). So Alvin, or whoever else would like to orchestrate some KOF please get back to me so we can work out the logistics.

Hey I will try to have an area setup for you guys when you come down, if you can bring the game then i will try and get you some space to have your casuals. I’m not sure if the KOF group will come, but I’m sure there will be some people at the convention who will be interested in playing
