Well keep playing, and let me know what you think later on. I thought it was great as it started and as it went on it got more and more repetitive and uninteresting and felt like an expansion pack dlc I paid too much for. The ending was more than I could take, and I liked XIII (barely).
And I can live in the dlc age fine, but I’ve never imagined the most famous rpg company would make people pay for an ending. How can it be so hard to do an rpg like the old good ff games and not come close again after? It’s so mind boggling.
You know what is mind boggling? That people keep buying new FF games.
I’m part of the problem, I admit it. I’ve bought and rebought my fave ff games multiple times on different systems. I played ffxi for six years, I saw the problems with XIII but found enough to like to be willing to try XIII-2 Apology Edition. I even bought the dlc for Lightning and it sucks (fun fight, but drop rate to recruit her is like 10% and it’s really only easy to do at end game… When she’s been replaced by better creatures and the game is over). Each new game I hoped would be a return to the glory days to when they kicked ass, but I’m out of hope. But as Zeromus as my witness, this is the last straw.
Never again.
