It seems like most good players that play both games prefer marvel over SF4 here, just like how everyone preferred MVC2 over CVS2 back in the day.

This is probably because UMVC3 is a far more balanced and deep game than SF4 will ever be.

I guess that makes sense. umvc3 is way more complicated than sf4 but I also think because of the damage output it can be more random too. It seems like one match of umvc3 is takes the same amount of proper reads as a half a round in a match of sf4.

i’ll take my licks like a man. constructive criticism is good - especially if it makes edmonton more hungry.

bear in mind i haven’t been playing street fighter (seriously) as long as probably half of you guyz. Bee has always been great iirc ???

there are many hidden monsters in calgary that weren’t at that tournament as well. EastSideMario, BestKindBoxer (greg), Angry Mike, Mike M, Dug, Sam, Troy, Peter, Adam, P. Josh, Alpha Josh, Steve Virus… (that’s just off the top of my head) if it were a full fledged Calgary v. Edmonton all i know is that calgary would destrooyyyyyyyy

What about Phil and Hai? Those guys are still decent even though they don’t play as much anymore?

Shiro posted a challenge to T.O. in Marvel so far[S] T.O. is super quiet[/S] especially after what Dave did to them on their home turf. I think if John, Bee, JJ, Gordon, and Paul put their minds to it they could wreck shop in sf4 again. Too bad they don’t really play sf4 anymore (or in JJs case live here full time). I’ll even throw Khoa Alvin Matty FakeSteve and Jpizzle in that group too.
In the last tournament none of the guys I listed entered sf4 except bee and he doesn’t even own sf4 let alone play it and he got tied for 5th. Sorry but a guy like Derryk isn’t getting top 8 in an Edmonton tournament if Khoa Alvin James and Matty are playing in it. It’s a shame. Don’t get me wrong you earned it Derryk <3 it’s just an example.

GGs to everyone last night. Playing love and shiro in marvel has shown me how crazy good they’ve gotten and how bad I’ve gotten. SF4 was fun yesterday. The only person I didn’t get to play but wanted to was matty @ Bosshog you ask me to break down your game and give you some tips but you play 3 characters at a reasonable level. I’d say your sagat is your best character.

I’m only interested in DIablo 3 as my main game. I’ll play sf vs tekken probably for fun, but blizzard games are always awesome…except for wow lol

I can’t wait for D3, there was one summer back in 1998 or so in D2 when I made good money just flipping ith items via paypal credit card…best summer job I ever had hahaha.

And yeah anyone that didn’t grow up playing ff3 is missing out

As far as what to do with it? I dunno. So few play anymore and I’m not sure there’s a reward for grinding up some skills these days. Maybe sfxt will be interesting enough, but it’s hard to keep thinking about levelling up anymore.

So what’s the plan for next week? I’m surprised free night didn’t get more people out, are we cancelled at least until sfxt?
