Edmonton Thread - 2012

Okay well I’m just trying to throw out there that I can help with atleast something.

I think it’s there (ROK’s and some other BS) that generally don’t want to be there when we are all there.

^^Vesper “OCR spell checker” Arcade

Who’s going to OK tomorrow? I will be, barring the shot’s im getting giving me the hiv. Then I’ll stay home.

For anyone interested, I will be at OK tomorrow commentating the stream, but I can also dedicate some time to teaching players how to play KOF and answering any questions you may have regarding the game (as long as they’re not super crazy advanced BALA level tactics and mind games). Feel free to ask me to anything and I will pop off the stream and show you what’s good.

what’s a good place to buy cds? i dont have a record player yet but blackbyrd music on whyte and the other one on whyte didn’t have what i was looking for (section 80 by kendrick lamar and dfd by dumbfoundead)

You missed the “visit” typo too

Good stuff Jimmy.

I hate Spencer in this game!

Dedication!

I want to go but I gotta do an airport pickup early so I’m not sure if I will. I have time for a couple hours maybe but its so easy to lose track of time. Probably be there. Are you going to be demonstrating your secret weapon yet?

The internet. Unless you want to specifically support local stores, the internet will have everything you want at cheaper prices. You just gotta wait 3-5 days.

HMV nigga

What secret weapon?

i have to work tomorrow night

Oh thought you were thinking of Rufus for a bit there

Out of curiosity, who in Edmonton (besides Stang, Beatrush, Khoa, Calvin, and I) is interested in trying out King of Fighters 13. I want to grow the KoF scene in Edmonton as much as possible, and I haven’t been this hungry in a fighter since the early SF4 days. Whoever is interested in the game, but doesn’t know how to get started can feel free to ask any of us for help (don’t ask Khoa because he’ll probably tell you to fuck off lol). Calvin will have his “Learn KoF” station going on tomorrow, and I want to guage interest in the game for future reference.

Our KoF group is really serious about the game to the point where we’re going to be attending a US major or two this year (contemplating between Final Round and NCR). We’re definitely hitting up Evo if KoF13 is announced in the line up tonight. Calgary is also showing an interest in the game so we’ll be setting up a 5v5 against them in a month or two. I want to assemble a team that will 5-0 them for free. So again, anyone who’s interested in the game come talk to us tomorrow.

GAME OVER DAMAGE!

Question 1: Can you play KoF without being a combo robot?
Question 2: Is Ryo enough like Dan that i will enjoy myself?
Question 3: If not then who should a “mindgame” type player pick?
Question 4: Is it worth playing? and why?

Thanks for the input… KoF was a epic fighting game in the past but the last few times i picked up the “new” KoF It was nothing like the good old arcade action fun… … “I hate the Art of Fighting, but want to be the King of Fighters”

I’m glad you guys got something your into and I wish you guys well. I hope that drive rubs off on others for the other games though, although I know sf has had it’s day in the sun long ago and marvel is in it’s prime.
