cam i seriously did pick up cammy, im about 3 weeks in. ive got the execution (thanks sakura) but… how do you contain yourself and play patient with all these options at your disposal? so far im way too aggressive trying to juke dps and condition people to gt hit by frame traps. whats your gameplan from neutral without a dominant footsie tool that leads into knockdown? for example, sakura’s c.mk x dp
also how did you work on that stuff vs people who dont block, like kids online
First off, dont play online. That shit is honestly a joke and unless you have specific good people to play against with healthy internet connections, i find it pointless. Just my opinion though.
cammy has 3 great special cancelable pokes; cr.mk cr.mp st.mp, and one non special cancelable; st.rh (dont abuse this, its really negative on block and is hugggge focus bait). Look at how chirithy plays, hes doing max range j.rh or divekick or empty jump. This stops tons of AA attempts as its a complete guess what you are going to do. Going nuts on peoples wakeup is easy due to her absolutely ridic options but you need to learn proper jump in, divekick, empty jump spaces. Henri has these down pretty good. Cammys lvl1 focus is actually a decent “poke” too as its quick, covers lots of distance and coupled with her backdash creates good distance after it. Basically you want to bait people into trying to stick out normals and then counterpoke into drill (mk mp) or whiff punish with st,rh, or divekick them (ex dive is great since you can do it so low).
