I’ve just had one problem with my motherboard box, the things on the screws(don’t know the english name) holding the stick in place tends to get “unscrewed” I guess because of the material they’re stuck in (sturdy, but far from “solid”). So every few hours of play you have to tighten them! :rolleyes:
I was actually thinking about doing a drawer stick (that still slides in) because EVERY single dorm desk at my college is exactly the same. All I would have to do is take it out when I move out and then pop it in when I move back in. Add a 26-30" HDTV and drill some holes in the back of your storage drawers so you can stick wires through for your consoles and you’d have a godly college desk setup. I can get the drawer replaced for free too by the school if I said that mine “broke.” However, I’ll be studying abroad next year so I’d only have one more year of a ghetto drawer stick.
Ghetto sticks are a fun idea though. I always think about making a stick with some spare Hori parts and one of the boxes I have lying around. I love how we don’t give a shit what we play on, but we sure do need dem authentic arcade parts. :tup:

Despite having 2 HRAPs (2 and 3), I need a Xbox 360 stick and so am examining the ghetto option. I have a lot of Hori buttons sitting around and a Seimitsu stick to use. I’m liking that gun case mod, looks sturdy and portable…I’m going to check to see if I can find something similar around here.

This is my favourite ghetto stick so far.
The only thing is I don’t think it’d be that good for lap play since it’s so small.

Trying to build my first stick I went the economic route as well with a used parcel pack. Courtesy of french mail, sent by a friend. When my wife asked me to take it to the trash I realized its potential. Did’nt post this in the custom thread as it really isn’t much, but maybe it’s OK to post it here I hope.
The box is fully wired (Madcatz retro arcade stick) and working. Sporting a Seimitsu LS-32-01 stick and clear Seimitsu buttons.

The adapter is hooked up to an old USB hub I had lying around. The box use to be a… box 
$4 from Ikea in the states or $6 in Canada.
Stick I made for my buddy who was on a pretty loooow budget.
Its sturdy and has a handle…
How hard is it to cut through that briefcase?
