Got some light in the Greenville area I’m staying at around 15 minutes ago. I heard cheers outside my window and it woke me up. I hate having heat tied to electricity. I slept with two layers of clothes on and a comforter last night. The next problem is going to be finding ways into NY without the Path. I know there are buses but their timing is less than optimal.
I think some preppers are ridiculed for their paranoid rantings, but there’s definitely nothing wrong with prepping in general.
This thread is full of revelations, first I’m not Aquaman and now this lady isn’t responsible for every fire ever?
What’s next? Everyone started playing BB?
They’re restoring power in Brooklyn, give them time. Only about 360,000 customers left in Brooklyn without power.
A meter = a customer. So a family of 4 using 1 meter = 1 customer.
The response to this disaster is really good. Obama got the next four years on lock.
We’re just waiting for the revelation where you realize your reading comprehension is that of a four year old with down syndrome.
Have the people in NY been referred to as “refugees” yet?
Nope we are ‘resilient’ as the media would like to brainwash us to portray ourselves. I’ve never heard of a disaster where everyone’s like 'We’re FUBAR, game over"
I’m on Long Island, and I just got my power back about an hour ago. It was out for 9 days. This is also the first time I’ve gotten to see the harder hit and flooded area’s. Sandy broke a couple of my windows and tore up my fence, but that’s about it. I count myself lucky after seeing what others lost. My next door neighbors brother died after he was blown of his stairs and hit his head. Plus there are still places without power. The worst part for me was not having heat at night.
Oh, and the lines to get gas are still ridiculous. I hope everyone else is ok.
I think I’m considered in the Greenville area too. I’m right behind snyder high…wait someone else plays fighting games at a decent level in JC?! And lives less than 10 minutes on a bike away?! Time to start our own scene.
Haha a scene in Jersey City was there before and it was fierce. It was me, Nasir, a kid named Bobby, Pungza, and another kid named John. Thurst and Tape are from here, too. We’ve all just moved around.
Oh, and JaHa lives here. I don’t think he plays games that much anymore, though. He had a decent Rufus last we played but that was a year ago or so.
i checked this thread to see if my srk brethren on the eastcoast were ok
and instead matriarch makes THIS thread about herself as well? W T F?!?!?!? jesus titty fucking christ.
in other news, facebook is pretty cool. ive got lots of friends in NYC, and it was a huge relief to see they were alright.
which one of you guys is tryin this??
I’m from Brooklyn and I’m alright.
Other parts of Brooklyn are still without power, heat, etc. After the Wednesday snow storm some people died. Most gas stations are closed no gas. I don’t know how the death count is so small when you got so many corpses floating around some parts of SI.
If you have any friends around the affected areas, I recommend trying to get in contact with them and making sure they’re alright.
Looks like the moment Obama won he completely forgot about NY and FEMA ditched us too.
We need to get ourselves out of this and not rely on the government. Don’t get gas unless you have to. Don’t drive unless you have to. Things that might help people affected are things like sweaters/coats to stay warm, food (cereal lasts long and is ready to eat) and bottled water.
Corpses floating around?
Obama is going to visit.
I really hope this isn’t just politics and he’ll actually visit the places where there’s still no power, no heat, no water, no food, no shelter, etc.
Also needs to do something about the no gas issue.
If you’re interested in some offline sessions hit me up sometime. Would love not having to go all the way to brooklyn to play someone for a change.
