Each Character's Worst Matchup

I haven’t seen it and I just can’t feel it either. It always looks pretty even in Japanese matches and it always feels about even in the matches I play, and it’s not like the Makotos I play aren’t good either. A few are some of the best players I know.

Just a note, later this weekend I am going to update the first post and then start linking to the most informative posts here.

Dudley’s s. RH beats every poke Necro has, since he’s got like 0 priority.

Akuma’s a pretty tough match-up for Necro, but Yun’s probably the worst.

does not beat c.mk, it straight up goes underneath it. low command grab too which is kind of considered a poke imo. also necro s.mp can punish dudley s.rh on whiff. so you do have to be smart with it.

A blocked command grab is suicide on Dudley.

if he has meter, and even then he kinda has to be looking for it, you utilize it like a shoto sweep. at max range when dudley is whiffing s.rh blindly trying to hit your normals, it’s a good move.

it’s like saying a blocked max range shoto sweep is suicide on metered dudley, even the best dudley players don’t punish shoto sweeps 100% because you kind of have to be looking for it.

You very much have to be looking for it. Necro’s command grab is safe vs Dudley (theory fighter: 0)

The restricting aspect is that Ken with meter punishes harder than Ryu with meter in most situations, since most of those situations give Ken a super. I’ll agree on Yang and Makoto, though. However, doesn’t Yang need at least one full SA2 meter to roll under a Denjin on wake-up? I don’t recall his qcf+k being quick enough to get him out of there.

You can sometimes get away with an ex senkyutai, but that usually fails if the denjin is released when you start it up.

Having meter is usually not a problem for yang, just throw out jab slashes and you’ll get it in no time. If you get knocked down and he activates denjin, just mash like hell with sa2 on wakeup and you’ll win everytime.

Q’s worst matchup is Makoto. In fact, the worst matchup in the game is Q v Makoto. Q can’t poke, can’t run, and can’t play offense. He has no options on his own wakeup and he has a hard time pressuring her on her wakeup; he has no sweet spot where he wants to stand or where he wants to keep Makoto, he’s disadvantaged at every place and time available The matchup is not 2-8, it’s 1-9. When I used to play this game, I’d take a fairly reasonable level against most characters, at worst like 2 or 3 of 10 against top level players, but I’ve never been able to take more than 1 or 2 out of 10 against good Makoto players. It’s about as bad a matchup as you can get in a game in which guesses figure so prominently.

Q’s other worst matchups are roughly Chun, Ken, and Akuma. Oro is not among Q’s worst half dozen matchups. It’s a bad matchup, don’t get me wrong, but I think that the above four as well as Yun, Urien, and Ibuki are definitely worse and that Elena and Alex are at least as bad.

The point is that it’s not something you should rely on. Of course c. FK beats it anyway. I thought that should’ve been obvious. Besides, if you play higher level Dudleys, it’s not as safe as you make it sound because they will be looking for it. There’s not much else Necro can do at that range that hits low besides c. FK, and it’s slow and not cancelable.

mmm i play necro vs makoto and necro lose all moves vs makoto pokes (like c.forward) but i positioning necro out of makoto c.forward she have a very fast dash but is soo long you can punish this whit a grab and makoto walk very slow maybe you can do same shit whit Q

lol if you play “higher level dudleys” i am a higher level dudley.

yuki otoko vs hugo is the worst match up in the game
