Honestly, I love being a witch. Granted, the good spells take a while to unlock, but it’s worth it. Right now, I only have a few that I use as my bread and butter. Before I buy and more, I will be buying the Magic/Attack Critical Hit & the Magic/Attack Back Hit. This way, what I do have will be more useful.
The only downside to using a witch, is that the spells are somewhat unreliable.
Ok I just got like a couple good sessions in with some crusaders that are 30+ and I have to say if you orient a crusader toward battle they can do a shit ton of damage. Lighting retribution is very dangerous, just getting comboed you’ll see a good amount of lighting bolts. The only problem is that at least the one I saw, always took a while at the beginning to cast all his buffs (at least he didn’t seem to have fast cast gear).
The bubble shield I can see how that is extremely dangerous because I saw a guy basically tank a striker who didn’t wait for it to wear off (it’s really short, at least at that level). I didn’t really matter to me because I’m a nen master though, I just play keep away and dopple explosion all day.
We need some crusader action up in here in srk. No one seems to roll them.
So I just started playing a Priest, and am thinking of going Exorcist. Very fun game. I have my 360 pad hooked up to give it that old school arcade feel. I just wonder what will happen, when i get to a higher level, and run out of room to map my skills.
I’m planning on my next character being a crusader, just for plate armor tanking. I have a priest up to exorcist but apparently they don’t get plate (could have SWORN they did.)

I just started watching it myself. The episode where the Priest makes his debut is hilarious.
^:rofl: I did an as-it-progressed review of that episode two pages ago, that was my favorite episode by far, I was cracking up throughout the entire ep.
So I’m playing around with some of my skills and this would probably help the fighter out there. This will be old to some of you but it’s something that I found out today against a lvl 35 mechanic (i never beat him but it was so damn close).
Well anyway to combo off tornado kick you have to cancel it by pressing jump. You have to do that because the last rotation is a knockdown. It’s also best to do this move when you have some air, so press jump then do tornado kick (preferably hotkeyed so you don’t go the wrong way or air walk). If you are about mage height (you probably can go a bit lower if you want), you can combo into air walk from a tornado kick. On the last hit of air walk you just do a normal attack and then go to combo. Or instead of air walk just normal attack them if it’s in cool down. If you don’t have enough height nothing will come out when you end tornado kick because you will land too fast, which is bad because they will probably recover faster than you (I hate you mechanics and your 3/4 life combo).
You can also tornado kick out of backstep. This is important because YOU DON’T NEED TORNADO KICK CANCEL if you have backstep cancel. You can just combo into a tornado kick or just backstep real quick and do it to GTFO. Though the backstep isn’t high enough to get an air walk out you can get a normal air attack out and do something off that.
Here’s an important thing about air walk though, if you don’t have enough hit stun on the normal attack after the last hit of air walk then they can mash out something that’ll put you in trouble. I use knuckles and if I try to combo there is a chance they can hit me out due to lag or if they have hit recovery gear. So I just suplex because it’s the safest thing for me. I saw a striker who used gauntlets pull off air walk into combo because power fist + gauntlets = lots of hit stun. The safest time my nen master was to get a full combo off air walk 100%(all the other times are gambles) if you air walk and land instantly by hitting them in the shin with the air walk so you don’t bounce up. Air walk has more hit stun than your normal air attack.
Again it might be old news to most of you but it’s something that helped me.

I remember watching this. This guy was a tank. I like how he literally walks through everything and just beats their face in. He must have had a shit load of hit recovery and what not just to rush in like that. Makes me glad that no one is that fast or strong in our version yet.
i haven’t read through all the pages of this thread so forgive me if this has already been answered: how do i fix the error where i can’t join parties? it says i can’t connect to members and tells me to disable firewall. i’ve already read through the thread on the dfo forums and seems like its a lost cause and there’s no fix. 90% of party invites don’t work for me.

The easiest route would simply be to DMZ your machine, but if thats reserved you’ll just have to do some digging and find the ports that should be opened.

Do I need to get the “windows” version of the 360 pad to play? I have a USB cable for my current 360 pad and when I inserted the 360 pad into the usb port, it doesn’t read it on Xpadder. (well i have a bootleg of it) I must be doing something wrong.
