Dungeon Fighter (new MMO from Nexon)

i already reinstalled the game and everything is fine but i’m not gonna start playing again until the official release

June 9th!

Can’t wait to make a Female Ranger.

@ElderGOD Maybe i’ll get back into it, I never deleted it cause I found it really cool. Guilty gearish.
And it’s gonna be full game June 9th? So if I play now i’ll lose my file or what?

Although Nexon said June 9th is official launch and we’re getting a large update, this won’t be the last update. Characters are stored on Nexon servers and you can only play DFO online via Nexon, your characters will remain unless you delete them yourself. You can play now.

It’s not just Guilty Gearish. Some characters play like Diablo 2, some play like a beat em up, some play like a real fighting game. The game has good diversity.

Very interesting. I’ll look into this game now, so thanks!

any final fight-ish type characters?

also, can you spectate other players?

In pvp you can spectate as an observer.

For FF-like characters the fighter classes are the closest, and I would say the striker would be the closest subclass to match an ff character. Though it plays and feels differently from final fight.

I’ve been away from this game from a while but I’ll hit up the irc and guild tonight. Stuff kept me busy.

I pretty much play as one of my 8-10 characters everyday. At least for a hour if not more.

its a great lil game, cheesy here and there and best of all free until you want to spend money on something.

yay, my summoner account just got unbanned. too bad i already don’t feel like playing pve on the characters i already have. -_-

imma be on that f spitfire tip.

Different classes have different skills and the character play style depends on the build. Someone mentioned Fighter, you can run around and xxx muse, hammer kick, suplex, etc stuff and it will feel like a FF game.

I’ve got stuff written up, going to post it when it’s time for release.

Air nades, people ain’t ready. Also the female mech gets a gigantic gundam. I’m not on except for a couple daily runs here and there but lets get some more pvp eventually.

Also, Vega wake up. PM me sometime this week.

Alright i’m gonna start playing this again, and gonna play it like I did before with my Madcatz Street Fighter IV Fightpad, this time Juri edition.

Sounds awesome guys thanks.

Nice. What about like if you wanna watch people do a group battle against the AI? Can you spectate that?

Nice im lvl 42 soulbender and 33 blademaster. Sn are neomagus and excaliuber get at me if u wanna party.

Anybody wanna level with me tomorrow? I’m a 14 soul bender.

**I think I might wait to play again actually, maybe that new Female Gunner class will be to my likings.

Also, does the stuff you buy from the Nexon shop for Dungeon Fighter stay permanent? Atleast for like hairstyles or skin colors, and maybe clothes.**

Most of SRK guild is 45-50 and either just runs the market or pvps. When female gunner comes out more people will pve though. If you want guild invites hit up the srkdfo irc channel.

Hit up the irc channel.

Don’t have to wait for female gunner to play. Item shop has both permanent and temporary stuff, read the in-game description of the item before buying.

am a noob to mmo’s, but interested in playing this game. dont wanna hit up their official forums, want the “srk’er” point of view of this game. i dont wanna play an overplayed class, what are the least played classes?

Well I like this game and pvping with friends or good randoms is fun. But if you run into someone geared out its a very unbalanced battle. And there are some lopsided matchups that are really hard to win. (Crusaders and nens are low tier in pvp one on one but they actually are good on teams but in pve they are great).

Least Played are Saders because in pve they are people who normally help buff others and in this game most people want to wreck shit up. In pvp they are rare because they don’t have a good offense and have to buff up at the start. Only decent matchup they have is against nens and some people say spitfire but it’s arguable I have seen a spitfire dance around that ROL and laugh his ass off while peppering the sader. In korean version they gain actual attack skills, right now they have like 1.

In pve Nens are plenty but in pvp you won’t find too many. They do decent against rushers but its everyone who can destroy their defenses that mess them up. They are also squishy.

Anything Slayer subclasses are played a decent amount but most to least from what i’ve seen blademaster-zerker-soulbender-asura. All pretty decent in pvp except zerkers can have problems with people zoning them and asuras need casting speed. Soulbenders also need high levels because there good skills come later but they play a damn good hit and run game.

Fighters are not uncommon because in pve I see Nens-Graps-Strikers-Brawlers. In pvp you probably would see Strikers-Brawlers-Graps-------Nens (this is in expert that is).

Gunners are probably the most played classes. In Pvp mechs get the most hate because they zone out everyone, hit hard, and make a shitload of robots. Rangers probably get the 2nd place in the amount of hate because once they get wildshot, some just spam it and it covers huge area for a crapload of damage. And the fact that people new to the game can’t get around the windmills. Spitfires get the hate of Grenade into xxxxxxxxxxx and there goes 60%. Launchers are ok at pvp but in pve they can blow a lot of shit up.

Mages in pve from most played to least from what I’ve seen is summoners-Witches-Battlemages-Eles. Summoners can go afk and kill a whole room. Witches have nice aoes. Eles are underrated in general. Great pvp class at zoning. In pve I hear they do good damage, but just run out of mana a lot so people quit them at early levels. Battlemages are one of the best pvp classes because of good combos, high mana shield, and otg that pisses others off if they know their chasers well.

Priests are Monks = Exos—Saders. Monks just wanna go Ippo on everyone and they are pretty good at it. In pvp they do great damage once they get their hands on you and their sway and ducking dash make them have great mobility. But they are a “lotto” class because they can get stuffed on their way in but have high evade. Exos are versatile. Physical hits hard but magic can control space.

Ok thats a writeup I made because I’m bored. From personal experience but others can have some input on it too.

edit: I wanted to level up my asura yesterday and get some pvp sessions in with people but Damn, my connection is being really shitty lately and I’m waiting till they are done fixing some lines since I can see their truck working on lines across my street.

@ElderGod I already have a character that’s level 14 or something, but i’d rather wait and not waste time on that character if i’m gonna like Gunner.

Can someone please explain what exactly “pvp” “pve” and all the other acronyms stand for, and what they do exactly?
