So I got to play Super today! Dudley seems mad fun. Dudley vs Seth felt mad one-sided against Dudders though.
Ducking through fireball is sooo good vs Akuma. He doesn’t have to deal with Akuma’s runaway bullshit like a lot of characters.
Is Jet Upper really not good AA? It was working for me. I wasn’t playing against Blanka or Gief so maybe it’s character-specific.
why is he so bad against seth?
J.hp is really good vs Dudley, Seth’s mixups are strong because Dudley has no good reversal besides EX Jet Upper, Seth’s divekick is hard for Dudley to AA without EX, and Seth is wily enough to get out of Dudley’s mixups. Once again, that’s just how the matchup felt.
Yeah, I’ve been playing a lot of Dudders today. Landed a few hp ducks to rolling thunder against Akuma.
St.mk is an amazing anti-air. Reminds me of Rufus’ st.fp anti-air. It also knocks them up high enough to set-up Dudley’s guessing game.
Cr.lk > cr. lp > st.hk seems to be the best hit confirm for me.
Probably biggest hurdle with Dudders is just getting use to his unique style of play and perfecting his bnb’s.
Ducking is really fun.
Getting counterhit st.fp’s feels soooo good. Reminds me of Sagat tiger uppercut reversals in vanilla.

I don’t think you can even hit non cinematic ultra 2, so it could just as well be considered at it’s 80% damage, when it’s scaled after a launcher.
Richard Nguyen the F+HK overhead -1, Zangief can reversal super/ultra. Just have to watch out for 1 frame punishers.
Why the hell in is block stun 5 frames lower than hitstun in this game?But to be realistic, i don’t think you ever get punsihed from blocked overhead.Maybe like twice against zangief with his 1 frame suplex, but that’s it.

Victory Rose (LOL): 0, 0 but it does stop the stun gauge from going back down. So perhaps if they are trying to recover from the stun you have done you can keep it where it was.

just wanted to say i picked up on dudley and loved his moves… and steez!!! his matchup against t.hawk, gief are tough, especially when your trying to do target combos and command throws beat them. any help to go against grapplers?
Target combos shouldn’t be throwable, as they leave no gap in between.Are you doing them fast enough?
i probably need to execute them faster like you said. i need to throw in that overhead target combo as well.
