Rog Dudley is 5-5 since his s. ab was nerfed (just like cammy is 5-5 now)
Dudley can now punish headbutt with a instant stun combo without fear (2 bars)
Dudley is still mid mid tier and probably better later on
At some point when people get more aquanted with air to airs people will realize just how strong he can be defensively.
Also Gief can punish s.fierce, overhead (target combo too)c.HK with walk up/reversal LP SPD.

Been working on those challenges that 34 made… not jumping is one of the hardest things not to do lol, but im working on it. My question is where is the matchup stuff on yun and yang? I cant find the thread anywhere…
I’ve revised my challenges for my tutorial but ya It’s challenging at first but it’s eye opening. Most Dudleys cant think of much to do besides fierce, focus and turtle tho. I hope you get past this before i release a better/actual tutorial next month.

True story: You can not make a living off of playing SSFIV.
You play video games because they are fun and you play a character because they “click” with you and suit your style.
Point being: If a Yun wins evo…is anyone really going to care? No, playing a top tier takes all of the fun and learning process out of a game…something that no one wants to do anymore. THINK and LEARN. I’m not saying go play Gen or Hakan at all…because that is just dumb. lol. There are PLENTY of characters in this game that are beyond viable and we all know this to be true. Boo hoo, most of the characters were nerfed…my Ibuki received a few too but im not going to cry. Learn Your Character.
Cammy is DIFFERENT but all the Cammy mains are bitching. Learn! Shes still good! Dee jay, Ibuki, Makoto, Dudley, Cody, Rufus, Ken, Ryu, Akuma, Bison, and Sagat on the top of my head are all better or viable. (Abel, Honda, and Guile got it HARD. I honestly do not blame the Abel and Guile mains for switching it up.)
Dudley is definitely more viable than he was in Super. That’s for sure. In all fairness: Do what you want to do. Just think about this though as you pick Yun, Yang, Gief or Fei: Video games are dying because all you people want the easy solution and could give two shits about learning a game. Just abuse the broken and hit auto pilot. That is exactly what gaming is turning into now.
People have been picking a top tier for years. Increase your odds of winning. Video games are still here.
Picking a top tier doesn’t even guarantee a win, you can still lose.
Why do people not get that not all characters are created equal and some characters counter other characters naturally. You can get around this by learning a character to cover the bad matches. Even if you become really good, the odds are still stacked against you.
We love character specialist because they stick to their guns through and through and try to champion through by outplaying their opponent minimizing the character’s weakness. Yeah that’s cool and honorable whatever, but that’s your choice to live and die about your character. Like it’s the other guys choice to make your life hell and counterpick you.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about with playing dominating characters take all the fun and learning out the game. Not all of these characters are easy mode herp derp, unless you’re just being blinded by your own hate. Eddie is one of the hardest characters to play in GG, he’s top tier. Pretty sure playing him will make you learn more about GG than you would playing anyone else because of how execution heavy and demanding he is along with having low life.
The only reason I can see you even saying that is because you’re tired of seeing these characters win or they are blowing you up. Don’t be mad the mediocre characters you’re playing naturally have a difficult time with the matchup. It’s a bad match up, accept it and figure out what to do about it.
Only thing killing video games is bad games, oversaturation and people’s fanboyism attacking everything that isn’t the game they like.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Ive been playing a ton of Yuns and Yangs in my community and that info was really clutch to have in that thread. I hope they can restore it soon.
not to get caught up on the subject, but i have to agree with some of the things Dont Jump said. only some things though and only to an extent…basically i think of it like this…when i watch a match and dark phoenix or yun or yang or elsa (ah3 reference) wins, i say to myself “of course…thats cool i guess”. but if the tables turn and the other person wins, i say outloud “really? THATS fuckin cool”. im never the type to cry about tiers, all im saying is those are my two natural reactions to those situations…so that says a lot about those kind of characters i think.
anyway, i only came back here to check out responses to my question i posted before the weekend. thanks to everyone who replied, i appreciate it! i been puttin in some more dudley work when im not working on dee jay, but…i still have no dignity
Dudley got a bit better in AE, but more importantly his bad matchups got worse. I think AE Dudley is a lot better than most people think, and his potential to stun an opponent is simply ridiculous now.

Thanks for making my day. I’ve been playing the SF4 series since Vanilla came out and I probably know more about the series and fighting games in general, than you do. In regards to your accusation that I have been playing him for a little while…maybe you should take a look at my signature for a second and re think that. My Dudley sucks in 3rd strike ( Actually, I SUCK because i never play that much) but I love him because he is mad fun. Also, Dudleys been my secondary/fun character to play since SSF4’s release. Keep making assumptions.
And at Mr.Diddles438, doing a MGB is quite simple. Just make a half circle starting from back all the way to forward. As soon as you’re in forward press any punch button. To make it a bit easier on yourself you can also start in downback and then go all the way to forward whilst riding the edges of your 8-way.
