I was talking about without a poke before the EX CC. He said “if it has armor” and I said “has armor” meaning he hasn’t been hit yet.
Then what EX CC OS are you doing?
We were talking about OS’d EX CC vs Rog? Oops >_>
Why would you OS EX CC in the first place, hella risky. If Someone can explain how benefits will out wiegh risk, plz say cuz that will shock me
For Rog it’s easy. You buffer cross-counter with your pokes to take away any of his ex dash punches except maybe the low dash punch. You either will hit him out of a normal dash punch, or hit him, take the armor away and cancel into EX CC for about 200 damage. Don’t really know about the others though.
CC would only work on 2 of his 5 rush punches; Straight and Upper. Overhead and Smash break armor, Low Rush Punch hits low.
I don’t use this OS if it is indeed the one they’re talking about. If you’re going to seriously OS to take away the rush punches and you have the meter anyway, why not OS ex jet uppercut instead?
EX JU kills dash punches lol
Careful though. Buffering EX JU, trying to catch a dash can get you hit by a LP straight.
Sorry I was thinking of doing jump-in OS EX CC’ing on Rog’s wakeup but if he did a reversal EX rush punch your OS wouldn’t come out.
I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. It’s not buffering ex jet uppercut, it’s option selecting with a normal.
Rog can punish the whiffed s.hk with lp straight.
Ohh, got it.
anti air duck upper
does anybody know the exact properties of anti air duck upper? it gets the opponent far and high but I’m able to tack on a duck straight if I’m quick. I’m not very good at setting up counter hit setups in training mode esp. not anti airs. what i’m really asking is if anti air CH ducking upper (NO FADC cause it’s one hit.) > duck straight > Ultra(cinematic) possible?
^ It doesn’t need to counter hit, just hit them whilst airbourne. It’s pretty much the same as it was in 3S, if it hits just once, then you can still juggle again, but if it hits twice, only the Ultra or Super will connect afterwards. So yes it is possible to do Duck Upper (one hit), Duck Straight, HP Jet Upper / Ultra against some characters who neutral jump. You can even do two Duck Uppercuts, if the first one only hits once (again just like 3S).
However, Duck Straight can often be used for the same purpose too. For example, against Honda, you can often get round his neutral jump Fierce with Duck Straight (trades), LK Duck Straight, HP Jet Upper for good damage and a knockdown. The Duck straight seems to have a better hitbox for this use, as the Duck uppercut is often beaten cleanly.
WHat is dudley’s FP?
and what are all the OS’s you guys talk about?

FP? Sorry I haven’t been keeping up with the discussion. Fierce Punch? Forward Fierce?
Anyone have a general idea of if you are at frame advantage or disadvantage if you do a pretty meaty f+HP on block? seems + frames to me but if someone more knowledgeable knows plz inform me.
It depends on how meaty it is. It can be up to +4 on block if perfectly meaty.
ohh ok, now i know how to calculate it off meaty, thanks.
