That’s what I thought until I went into training. I’m not even sure why I picked Blanka to practice on but I was practicing combos and this one wasn’t working at all.

LP MGB is only 1 frame slower than U2 according to frame data so linking into U2 after a LK duck straight is 1 frame or the hitbox of LP MGB is just that much higher than U2. Feels like it’s 2 frames so I’m guessing Blanka falls below the LP MGB hitbox sooner.

If you look at Blanka when you do the cr.roundhouse combo and the st.roundhouse xx ex mgb combo it seems that the jab mgb hits Blanka in a different part of his body in the cr. roundhouse combo as opposed to where it should hit with the st.roundhouse xx ex mgb combo.

Safe jumps

After forward throw
After back throw

I usually use MK/HK duck hold up forward after forward throw but I’m not sure which version of ducking gives better timing

Can you even safe jump after back throw? If not what are the setups after back throw?

Safe Jump off Front Throw: LK Duck after throw, Jump
Off Back throw: Forward Dash, Jump

I have not gotten short duck to work after a front throw against 4 frame moves. Can you do it with a dash and just wait a bit?

I don’t even know if it works, just repeating what I saw posted before about safe jumps after throws.

Personally, I don’t go for safe jumps as Dudley. I can just duck then walk and get into a good position for their wakeup.

i use MK duck after forward throw and its works for safe jump

iono how i double posted, sorry, but how do you time the backthrow safe jump, seems awkward to me, i just go for okizeme if i back throw

hello there. i’m a very new dudley player…just wanna know what kinda poke strings is safe for dudley? it seems like other then poke string ending with lp MGB the rest are all free punish…even with poke strings ending with lp MGB…there is still a chance of being grab…

LP MGB is -1 on block so don’t do it vs grapplers since it’s a free hug for them.

If you mean a normal throw, tech it or jab them as they walk to you.

Mr.X, it’s minus 2 on block.

Only Zangief can punish lp MGB without ultra. Balrog, Guy, Zangief, T Hawk, and Hakan can all punish with their grab ultras. A few people can punish with 1-2 frame supers - Sagat, Chun, Ken, Akuma, Gief, T Hawk are what come to mind.

Can’t T.Hawk do the same thing as Gief? Mexican Typhoon is 2 frame start up.

s.HP is also pretty safe cause of the range.
s.HK is -3 on block.

Not really a beginner question, but there doesn’t seem to be a frame data thread on this board so…

What dudley moves have invincibility frames, and what are the frames? SRK wiki doesn’t list them, evenhubs doesn’t either.

Besides Ultras, I think only ex jet uppercut has invincibility and I’m pretty sure it’s through the whole move.

I don’t believe it is invincible throughout the entire move (no dp is, as far as I know). But I’d like specifics, such as, “Ex jet upper invincible from frames 1-5,” if such data exists.

Ryu’s EX Shoryu beats EX Jet Upper every time, so clearly it is not invincible entirely.
