Flashiest combo you can do on abel from a crumble/stun/jump in.
f.MK, (s.lk, s.mk), s.lp, (s.mk,s.hk), s.lp, s.HK xx, MK Duck Upper FADC< (s.lp, s.mp), s.lp, s.HK xx, MK Duck Upper FADC, (s.lp, s.mp, s.mk) xx LP Jet Upper > Corkscrew Cross.

edit too frustrating. after 10 minutes (over 40 takes) i quit.
The FADC Duck Upper and after is cake but the target combo (s.MK, s.HK) into s.LP is painful.
not to forget you have to combo into 4 target combos.
Got the actual first part done once but muscle memory made me hit confirm s.HK into EX MGB.

Question. Is U1 a viable punish for blanka horizontal balls? I tried it in training and it was hit and miss.

I know it works best near corner, but never actually tried or punished a ball with U1… I always use MGB

The trick is that you have to time when you do the U1 depending on which ball Blanka uses. For example, his Hard Ball, you need to just wait a split second before you unleash it. Do it to early and it’ll miss.

**Ok then it was laggy cause I couldn’t connect the hk after my two cr lp… I usually jumped on it or fp… Another thing I don’t get about this claw is how to mind game him from far: how do I know if he is gonna do me his flying grab attack or a regular hitting one, same for cross up or normal…? Can only guess??

Last question: I’m training against a top French player and he is either zoning like he’ll (Ken with cr hk or lk or his other forward kicks but more rarely and he is close he goes air then often grab… Two question wtf I can do againt his safe cr lk since if I go air he has crazy shorthorn reflex and I can’t come close enough to counter with fhp or st hp… Another thing why my unhrag command fails 1/2 times??? Im usually spamming it on block… It means my input are bad?

Aight vs Vega. You HAVE to get in and anti air him with Jet upper (HP) as early as possible his jump-ins beat your anti air normals CLEAN (if he’s good which top French should be)
Back to your question about his Flying grab/attack, it depends. If you’re waking up and he’s going for a safe(unDPable) grab/attack mix up, your best option is to backdash and take the attack, or if you have 1 bar. EX short swing blow if he’s really meaty you’ll beat it clean.
Vega cant just throw out the move by the way. You can jump back MK/LK(good due to the active frames) or dash TOWARD him and Focus that way he cant grab you(unless it is EX which in this case you air to air him). dont release focus until you can confirm him being in front of you, if not dash and punish him HARD you have plenty of time(ultra 1 is recommended in this match up)
If he ever cancels a roll into super. wait til he’s close to you and EX MGB out of there he cant reach you.

Vs Ken
It’s all about not getting pushed around by his f.MK.
Once you’re in range of the move you can start to focus( BE SURE YOU’RE OUT OF c.MK range unless you’ll eat a counter hit EX tatsu)
c.LK? its his mix up just gotta get out of there or you’ll have to guess between kara grab, c.MK, shoryuken (if he has meter
Both ultras work in this match up. Ultra 1 for when you get a lv 2 focus on /DP punish because Ken doesnt need fireballs to zone.

I have to record some fight against that Ken, he’s zoning like hell, once I come close he gets me with easy combo and if I am in medium range and try to jump I automaticly get punished by shoryuken even if he started a cr hk 0,5sec before my jump, he has insane reflex :slight_smile:

So I try to forward hp, cr mk etc even hide grab on my forward hp but still… can’t figure it out :frowning:

I meant “ungrab command” (X+A on 360) do not work all the time (even if I’m spamming it when I feel he’s coming for) I guess it is because of my wrong manipulation?

Anyway, it was a different guy playing the vega than the ken top player. This vega wasn’t really good I just don’t know the match up at all! Figured out to use mg to punish his rolling since I met him again today.

Besides, I still don’t know how to defend his jumping mix up (read what u wrote) when we’re far from each other, if I stay ready to defend a cross up or a normal air hit I can always get grabbed by his attack (flying barcelone is the name?)… is this different animation on landing it or what?

Just to mention that I have 350 hours of play, it was my first figthing game (playing on stick arcade) and due to live I Don’t know every match up as there are a lot of ryu/ken and other top tiers… 3000pp/8k bp so far still gotta learn a lot but good to see that you actually understood that I wasn’t trolling or anything

Or pick vega and see how his wall dive move works first hand.
for the grab (izuma drop) you press grab when you’re close to the target
I believe if you grab and you’re not in range you the get attack
im not sure

If you think Ken’s bad, try Akuma with ultra 1 stocked.

This is from about an hour of testing, so it’s not the final word by any means. Also, the pinwheels were tested when right in her face, a likely situation on her wakeup. These are all done from crouch blocking.

Light pinwheel Stand HK, cr. lp > Stand HK (a little easier timing), cr. lp > lp mgb (stays in), Ultra 1, Ultra 2
Medium Pinwheel Stand HK, Stand Fierce, Medium punch xx med mgb, Ultra 1, Ultra 2.
Hard Pinwheel Stand HK, stand/crouch Medium Punch xx med mgb (less damage but you get in on her), Ultra 1, Ultra 2
**EX Pinwheel **Walk up Stand HK or F+MK (kinda tight timing), Stand Fierce, LP MGB, Medium Jet Upper, Ultra 2, Ultra 1
All Dive Kicks Stand HK, Ultra 1, Ultra 2

Seems redundant, I know, but maybe someone learned or got some ideas? And of course super punishes all

On block not all dive kicks are punishable by ultra 1/2
What kind of Juri hits you on the head ith dive kicks.
Good ones will hit you below the shins

I was at the arcade playing against a good vega yesterday and I couldnt figure out why vega was beating st mk, cr HP clean with his jump in normals every single time lol. I usually dont like just throwing HP Jet uppers without meter but in this case I definitly will

You can EX MGB both of Vega’s backflips. Just learn the timing, otherwise you will go through him. Vs. Ken stepkick throw out st. roundhouse buffered into ex mgb when he starts dancing in and out of stepkick range. Every dashpunch Yun has except EX and fierce where he hits you at the very end of the animation can be punished on block with at least st. roundhouse xx combo.
