I wouldn’t be so sure. Duck upper xx FADC xx duck straight > jab mgb works in this game. Do you say that meaning you have gotten that juggle to work?
i dont’ think the hitbox is there for ex mgb, duck straight, ex duck straight to combo. when you do duck straight ex duck upper, the opponent is literally pixels from the ground and the upper digs them out.
whiff dive kick throws worked on me, but i’ve never played 3s. I dont’ see why it wouldn’t work, it’s similar to rufus whiff dive kick throw. except yun can whiff dive kick command throw into combo instead, so it’s slightly more dangerous. Yun also has 3 different angles of dive kicks, making it tricky to figure out if it’s gonna whiff or not.
meaty dive kick is no different than almost every other meaty/safe jump in vs dudley. you’re gonna have to block it/back dash (and hope for no os)/focus backdash.
The reason why I asked about Yun is because in SF3, he could jump and whiff short dive kick basically right in your face and it was really hard to tell unless you knew some Yun gimmicks.
yea, from the looks of it, it’s still there. From the little 3s i’ve been watching yun’s dive kick in AE is slightly slower than in 3s, giving you a tiny bit more time to figure out if it’s gonna whiff or not.
Thankfully the 3 dive kicks have 3 different animations, so it’s not hard to see which version of the dive kick the opponent is doing.

According to what has been posted, no doubt about it. Dudley got the shaft son. Now, the funny thing is when you put the 3s characters in the SF4 AE tierlist. Profound sadness… for Dudley users.
Seeing as I have been playing AE for the last few weeks, Dudley has definitely not received any kind of shaft. I tried playing a little online again and have decided to no longer play Dudley online until the DLC comes out. He has a lot going for him in AE.

Ryu doesn’t have the donkey kick or Denjin. He ain’t 3s Ryu.
SSF4 Ryu so lame, 3S Ryu would kick his.
Oh man I just saw some AE Makoto footage… she’s tough.
Who cares about that? What matters is he stands up well against more of the cast in general now, and he stands up evenly vs all the 3S characters except for maybe Ibuki. All of the 3S characters have their bad match ups in AE, including the twins.
Dudley is a much more playable character in general now. So you can just take your negativity and learn to play the character better rather than harp on how he doesn’t live up to your personal standards.
Not sure if this is known already, I didn’t see it in the first post. Saw in the video of Marn playing AE where he knocks down Zangief in the air with j.hk and he techs it.

marn does duck straight, ex duck straight!!! and later displays rose u2 trades with dudley’s s.fp, but still retains the orbs.

marn keeps getting c.lk, c.lp s.rh xx whiff hp dp. it whiffed on gouken after getting a meaty c.lk on gouken’s wake up.
he also does sweep, sweep, ex duck upper, and the ex duck upper only did 1 hit (first sweep was nto a juggle).
