She actually has to get in though. Dudley has excellent walk speed, so you shouldn’t be making that ‘safe’ slide easy to space.

havnt watched since stream but I do recall him using fullscreen mgb as an approach.

If you guys know a good offline rose that plays well online rose I’ll do a first to 5 with em or just some matches. I dont have any top online Roses on my friendlist anymore lost a lot of GTs when I had to get my own GT.

and ya the dudley from the video at some point in that tourney did do a fullscreen exmgb (probably in the team matches I dont remember) Dont care for a Dudley that just throws shit out and hope it connects.
Dont ask me to comment on another Dudley especially if you have no idea how mine plays.

So after looking at AE notes from the vega forum I can tell you that it doesn’t seem like the dudley vega MU will change much. Appearently Cosmic heel still can be made safe if spaced well, so it doesnt mean a free combo.

After testing lk/mk duck str8 into u2 and seeing how character specific the dmg is, I’m really looking forward to exmgb > ex duck str8 > u2. Might cost more meter but I woudl love to be able to get full hits on u2 midscreen.

yes you did. it’s only active frames, not startup frames

I ended up in the Dudley AE thread after a flood of tears washed me out of the Guile AE thread. How’re things holding up here, chaps?

Changes changed nothing really. Extra active frames on crMK, faster f.MP, nerfed stHK hitstun, air to air jHK causes knockdown (not sure if this is good or bad yet)

stHK lost 3 frames of hitstun when they reduced recovery 3 frames. stHK xx Empty LK duck is -1 on hit instead of +2, no more CH stHK xx LK Empty Duck combos. stHK xx HK Duck Upper or Straight no longer work. stHK xx MK SSB no longer works (LK SSB still does).
Nothing gained that replaces the momentum of stHK xx Empty Duck shenanigans.

EX Duck has no use outside of extending combos, which are pretty flashy I must say like LP JU EX Duck Upper or EX MGB Duck Straight EX Duck Upper. EX MGB EX Duck Straight might make U2 hit all hits midscreen.

Hardly any footage of Dudley in AE to boot.

What do you guys think of jHK causing knockdown? I’m pretty sure it’s techable, might be situations where you hit them and they get floored and quick rise while you’re in landing and eat a DP or something dumb. Meaty attacks after it could be risky (as in they won’t be meaties because of you landing after they hit the ground and quick rising before your move is active).

With air reset, you could land and cross under at least to mix em up.

jHK knockdown will be okey for baiting I guess. I don’t think its bad but like you said meaties seem risky. Would have been cool if it would have been an untechable knockdown sigh.

I’m trying to use s.hk xx empty duck less in preparation for AE and it sucks so bad. I wasn’t aware how much of my game revolved around ch s.hk combos and empty ducks.

I hate these changes the more and more I think about them to be honest. Other than f.MP, they don’t add anything or take away from Dudley.
