What are you talking about having ex ducking doesnt mean anything against akuma. He can still os demon/sweep/srk/standing fierce.

And u have always been able to os duck under either version of psycho crusher. The reason u cant do it on cross up pc is because the duck auto corrects and follows it.

If auto-correct consistently worked against our intentions like you said, we would adjust for it by never doing things like reversal ducking on wake-up. Unfortunately, it doesn’t and you can consistently make it so that you duck the opposite way the psycho crusher is going. Furthermore, auto-correct ducking wouldn’t make the psycho crusher magically hit, since it would be a “projectile” in any circumstance and ducking has projectile invincibility. Just try it. All I have ever gotten is that regular cross-up psycho crusher hits when I reversal duck it and ex doesn’t when I reversal duck. Same with doing just trying to duck a regular and ex psycho crusher mid-screen.

None of those things work against a Duck which recovers as fast as LK Duck but travels as far as HK duck. Training Mode is your ally.

From a knockdown Reversal Duck vs Akuma?
Lets see.

You cant Duck his:
Palm, that’ll get Demon’d Sweep’d or DP’d
Dive Kick, It’s meaty enough to bypass DP and stuff duck (counter hit)
Grab, you can grab duck
Tatsu You’ll either duck into him or away(into safety) depending on auto correct/akuma player so not likely
Meaty jump LK or MK, lol those are attacks, of course you cant duck attacks.
Sweep, it’ll be timed earlier than the above so you wont be ducking that at all.

Vs OS Palm; EX Duck will take you far enough away to avoid sweep and recover quick enough to block far.HK. It will be invincible to DP.

Demon Flip Dive Kick is not meaty. It stuffs reversals cos of the angle. You can Duck out of that.

Normal dive Kick, you should be just blocking if you don’t hear the Demon Flip ‘grunt’ anyway.

Normal jump in Tatsu or LK/MK, again EX Duck has upper body invincibility.

Only thing it loses to is the meaty flip grab which only works off point blank sweeps anyway

Counter hit overhead doesn’t grant any more +frames.Capcom did that so 2nd frame meaty counter hit overhead wouldn’t combo into full ultras.

with EX Duck you only get upper body invincibilty and unless you input an upper or straight you are GOING to get it by an OS Demon.
Unless EX Duck gives you the ability to phase through your opponents too you wont be able to duck under a dive kick.

I wont go any further clearly you dont understand akuma’s hitboxes.

Logan posted a whole thing about beating Akuma’s oki game as Dudley in SSF4.

LK Duck recovers fast enough to jump out of OS Demon.

As I said, Training Room is your friend. Just cos someone caught you with it once in a match, doesn’t mean that it is guaranteed.

There’s lots of things which you can do to leave Dudley with the odds in his favour vs Akuma’s vortex dependent on ranges. If you can react to his grunt on take off, then you can put yourself in a positive gamble situation.

EX Duck would push the odds well into Dudley’s favour.

You absolutely can. If 3rd Strike lived, we’d get those extra frames and 25% damage increase on fools we caught with non counter-hit dartshot.

also CH meaty/max range f.hp links into Rolling Thunder. I do similar to Ryu who spam cr.mk. Dart shot’s hitbox reaches! getting the counterhit is 50/50.

From the Q&A section of this week’s dev blog.

The Japanese about the frame data is somewhat cryptic, but what I think they’re trying to say is that if a move gets its frame data adjusted, it gets adjusted all across the board for that move.

I don’t know what that means still but I really hope it didn’t lose 3 frames of hitstun. No more CH sHK LK Duck sHK xx combos.

you’re canceling the move out of it’s animation.
the frame advantage changes would only apply if you were to only use the normal alone.

I believe that Mr. X is referring to the “across the board” changes to the frame data. If the hitstun positive frames are reduced along with the rest of the moves attributes I believe it will effect the possibility of doing the combo suggested. Cancelling the move doesn’t change the situation.
