I love Dudley’s style, but am I the only one who hopes he won’t be as OP as some are suggesting? This might deter me from maining him.
I prefer to play mid/low tier characters that are more challenging. I just don’t get any satisfaction from playing Sagat/Ryu. Heck, I main Dan.

Dude it will grow on you. It’s his intro that seems odd, do to his high pitch. If you listen to the match with Sagat, Dudley’s voice is nowhere near as high as his intro pitch and tone.
Because he is fighting, his voice more gruffer and less proper sounding. So in other words: yes, his intro english voice sounds odd…match voice sounds right and better.
“Proper sounding”? He’s of a high class stature, I’d damn well hope he sounds “proper”

I’ve seen the Sagat vs Dudley Video and So far he doesn’t sound bad. Will see how his Japanese Voice counter part sounds.
It’s deep…very deep.
People seem to like it cause of the englrish in Whoaing Tundah…I mean, Rolling Thunder.
I am willing to bet dimes to dollars he is going to be Sagat tier or juuuuuust below. He just seems to have all the tools, and while I don’t have frame info obviously, from the videos we saw they look fast. Thunderbolt Punch has a knock down now making it tons more effective and looks to be quick enough to punish heavy plasma chuckers. He has a DP, which I don’t know it’s priority or hit box, probably not as good as SRK but certainly it looks to be a solid anit air. His corckscrew cross looks to be very easily comboable (also Logan Sama has heavily hinted off the fact that FADCing won’t eve be necessary with it). Rolling thunder looks like it’s going to zip under fire balls as well. His regulars all look intact, their linkability is still somewhat uknown although Logan Sama said they were mostly all there if not a bit slower. Also his overhead was enough to make Logan Sama speechless.
I think he is going to be a very strong character with very few bad match ups.
Though don’t let that stop you from maining him. While it’s fun to use characters who are somewhat below subpar, if a play style clicks with you, stick with it imo.
I think I am in the minority and it doesn’t sound as good imo.
I think I like his English voice better.

Dudley is jumping at Sagat and just as he landed, Sagat did a TU and Dudley took the damage and did some of counter move that interrupted the TU, punishes him and caused a knockdown
