yes but he’s an asshole

That is a much better video.
I’m glad that Dudley made it in. Let’s just hope his combos don’t all start with crouching jab.
I’m quite looking forward to Dudley, assuming he’s in. I never played 3S, but I’ve watched a lot of matches and he looks terrific to play with. His cross counter will get raped like Gouken’s Parry most likely, but if his transfer from 3S to SFIV isn’t awful, he appears to have enough tools to simply have it as ANOTHER option, rather than one of many **** ones (Gouken’s reversals, for the somehow unknowing, suck mighty hard). Besides, it’ll be awesome to play as both Balrog and Dudley (rumours have it Dudley is top tier from those spreading knowledge of SSFIV, and Balrog is obviously rather good in SFIV, but I had no idea of his tier ranking when I picked him, and Dudley’s position is hardly based on long term testing - just for those remarks of tier whoring =P).
A question to those who know, how does Dudley do in terms of footises? Assuming not much changes of course. One of the reasons I picked Balrog was I liked playing the poking game/footsies (probably what i’m strongest at), so it’d be nice to be in a strong position in that sense with Dudley too.
As a trivial aside, I have an idea for a custom stick artwork that has Balrog on one side, Dudley on the other with “Let’s fight like gentlemen!” written at the bottom - feeling a black and red colour scheme for contrast sakes too.
As a Dudley player for 3+ years in 3s I have been pretty enthusiastic about Dudleys return to sf4. Out of all the 3s characters I felt that he would make the transition best to sf4.
Now if they even emulate have of what made him so scary in 3s, he can still easily be a monster in sf4. Plus, ive heard some news from a credible source that someone has played him and has said he is currently pretty godlike.
I kind of fear though they might take Dudleys rose away as a midgame taunt. I think he’ll throw it after he wins rounds but I think it could possibly be waaaay to good in gameplay in sf4’s system. But honestly, I hope I am dead wrong.
When I think of sf4’s system this is what I think dudley is going to be capable of:
-
c.hk x2 juggle into a super, ultra in the corner. This just has to work imo if they give his c.hk the same juggle potential as sagats f+hk. I imagine one c.hk to any special will work but 2 c.hks will only lead to supers and ultras.
-
f+hk overhead either link into super, or potentially a c.lp into his old c.lp,c.mp,c.hp chain.
-
buffered s.hk’s into ex machinegun blow. The 3s spacing favorite. I think EX machine gun blow will have the same properties as goukens ex dp. He can follow up with lets say, lp mgb, duck upper, dp, super, ultra in the corner. Duck upper or straight should work midscreen.
-
last hit of lp machine gun blow to have a special juggle count. It wouldnt do much damage, but the ability to still juggle anything after it like a normal, special, ect ect. This only works when only the last hit of the lp mgb hits an air opponent.
thats just a couple ideas for now.
Im really interested to see what they will do with him.
I wonder how hard it will be for Dudley to get in now that he can’t parry fireballs and anti-air. They will probably change some of his ex to be armour-absorbing. Ibuki will likely have an easier time with fireballs. I’m really worried about Makoto though.
Eh, I’d say she could probably just EX Dash Punch (don’t know the names of her moves) right through 'em.
I doubt that. People play Dan, Vega and Sakura, and it’s not only a handful of people who play those characters. Dudley is probably the most popular and most well-liked SF3-character, and I would play him regardless of his tier position simply because of my love for the character. Granted, I would play other characters to back him up if he ended up as low tier, but I already know that Dudley is my main in SSF4. Have been playin’ him since I first got my hands on 3s.
If it gets armour-absorbing. In which case she is going to completely destroy shotos.
hcf + k
Duck goes through fireballs in 3S right?
yes it does, i randomly found that out by fluke once when earlier in the day, i was wondering to myself what i would do with dudley against fireball spams, then later accidently done it, works like a charm!
That’s possible, but unlikely. EX hayate is very fast, travels almost full screen, and knocks down on hit. Hayate is also potentially her armor break move in this. It’d be too good with projectile immunity on top of all that.
As long as she still has her incredible forward dash she’ll be just fine without a projectile immune special. With that dash and focus absorb, bulldogging you’re way in with her shouldn’t present any problem. If you can TK axekick, that could be another anti-projectile option too.
Back to Dudley, about the taunt: keep the rose throw, just remove the hit property on it if they must.
Didnt touch him in 3s but i might main him in SSF4
i hope someone closes this thread
Welcome to the world of Street Fighter 3.
With the myriad of options given to all three of the characters in Third Strike that are now appearing in SSF4 it would be very hard to make them low-tier unless Capcom really fucks up.
Dudley has so many options and he will definitely have an armored or invincible reversal.
To be perfectly honest, I’m just looking forward to having a DP.If his movement is fast enough, Dudley could in some ways be what Cammy would be with more stamina. You know, along with all his other options (poentially).
Posting in legendary thread.
Dude don’t be a dick.
Scholars note that this is probably the greatest thread ever made. True story.
Was I the only one who got this?
or weren’t you trying to go for what I was thinking you were trying to go?
Anyways, Makoto will have armor on ex.Hayate, Ibuki will be able to slide under them and break some Necks, RDP+K will go over them and I see her f.HK jumping over them too… As for Dudley, duck and armor on some moves, I imagine.
This’ll be so gdlk.
