I think for some people, Super will be interesting. But for those whose characters are getting the shaft (I mean my main, Fei), the game will be more of the same. I am seriously considering starting from square one with Dudley. From all I have read, he seems to be a pretty good character. I also want to play as DeeJay, too.
We got a bunch of new characters, the game is only $40. What part of this is NOT interesting?

I can only speak for myself. Top tiers are OP, that’s what makes them top in the first place lol.But, there is never a time where I look at Sagat and say yeah trade Ultra is legit. If I did I would need my brain and the contents of my scrotum switched around cuz clearly something is wrong. So do I like it? No. I’m indifferent towards it and take it for what it is.

For me it’s jsut the less easy mode a top tier is the better. Honestly Sagat was a pretty difficult character to use but trade Ultra and shoryu FADC just outweighed the skill he otherwise needed a bit too much. Less of these characters that just force you to fear invincibility frames.

I really look forward to BnB baiting Shoto’s now. his charge is hella amazing for mixup. frame rates, and Ex cancels are allowing alot of defense for Dudley too, omg at counter too.

I main Fei too, but in Super I’m going to try Dudley, Dee Jay, and Cody, and pretty much all of the other new ones. I’ll always play with Fei, but if he doesn’t get buffed good then I don’t think he’s going to be worth maining in Super.

It wont matter what tier Dudley is, his swagger is gonna make alot of people jump aboard his fan base, and Im sure there will be a lot of good players who will main him.
Tier whores are inevitable, there are just people out there who go for money and bragging rights, just apart of competitive gaming in general.
People are just drawn to Dudley because hes not a charge character, he has extreme pressure abilities, nice juggles and cross-ups and has an awesome personality.
which is a reason he appeals to me because hes rushdown and not a charge character. somehow charge + rushdown does not mix as good as qcf moves do. the ability to do moves at will is important for a close combat fighter.
reason i hope he is top tier is merely because if he is top it simply means he has all the right tools. if he wound up mid tier or low it means he is lacking in some departments and beign a honda mainer i know how it feels.
While that’s all fine and dandy and very commendable, playing a character because the don’t have certain moves or abilities wont get people far in a certain scene. Seeing someone do amazing techs and playing things smart with a lowtier is an amazing sight to behold and they deserve props as well.
Not to cut down on your hopes of Dudley being high on the list, but dont let it change your mind if its not.
