Maybe I’m wrong but in the following video it seems as though Dudley’s overhead is used at around 3:04. The speed with which it is executed has once again surprised me. I approve. He seems to be as beastly as the rumors have stated. :tup:

Well it looks like he puts his hands to the ground really fast but the actual sweep comes out a little later.
Not to be a naysayer because I do want him to be good. I just don’t want him to be braindead like the other boxer in the game.
p.s. Sadly they seem to have totally fucked up Guy’s jump arc/speed.
Exactly mate, i would hate to see a flowchart Dudley. That would really piss me off, but whatever happens Dudley is my main, loved the character since i was a young kid and I’ll main him either way.
At least his sweep wont be able to be abused for combos, i seems to push them back pretty far. However, sweep > Ultra in corner looks very possible.
Sweep combos in the corner in 3S are not easy to pull of by any means, requires a solid execution. But Ultra after sweep in the corner that sounds a bit scrubby.
So what

Absolutely agree with you, it’s the opponent’s fault for getting caught but still a bit scrubby, it’s like Sagat’s LOL combo. What I’m trying to get at, it’ll be Dudley’s gimmick get in the corner and ultra.
Dudley was always all about the corner. His midscreen juggle off of sweep were okay, but they were never crazy (well, with no bar anyway). The range and speed look like sweep > mgb would still work, the only question is whether mgb juggles properly (which I would expect it to).
