DnB and Dubstep are like Siamese twins.
I’m not like a serious fan of dubstep because from what I’ve heard it’s pretty limiting as a sub genre. I think what it does do (the drops, the 100 ton bass, twisted sounds) it does very well. I feel that it has a purpose in the grander scheme of EDM but it’s not the ground breaker than DnB, House, Techno, and Trance were/are. Anyway if any of yall can put me up on some quality dubstep DJS/Producers I’m all ears. I’ll look through this thread too. But I’m the type that finds work from Amon Tobin to be heroic over listening to Fatboy Slim (I did not like his live set at DEMF this year). I’m looking for electronic music that has a sonic story to tell.

Skream is one of the best producers IMO, he isn’t like hipster Skrillex that just makes filthy/crazy/over the top dubstep. He makes good music, a few of my favorite tunes by him are “Wibbler” “Oskillatah” “Filth”.

I just recently found out what Dubstep is. I had heard it before but never knew what it was called. I find myself enjoying it more and more, even if some people consider it uncool. I’m discovering a lot of cool mixes on here though. Always nice to find new music.
