Dual Strike PCB now with EX Strike PCB - http://www.arcadeforge.de

I’ll do so once i finish the analog stick.

Apparently you can’t just keep the sync button held down. I’m going to have to some sort of power switching to prevent the 360 controller turning on while playing on ps3. Or maybe I should of just worked with the late version ms wired pad. Dual modding the madacatz pad and fight pad will be tons more easier than the ms pads.

we talk about such an project some weeks ago. Purplearms needed a similar circuit, so we started power swichting board with several channels. Perhaps youwant to atteend?

Jep, dein Wort in Gottes Ohr  I`m switching to the fight pads now

They’re far easier to work with… trust me, especially since you have something that should fit without modification at all

I wouldn’t mind finally understanding what kinda of power switching stuff purplearms has been trying to achieve. Although, I already have the load switching chips to do it. Its just a matter of making secured soldering points on a smd chip. I already made a switchless setup using the imp board and ,load switching chips with my dual wireless mod.

perhaps we should ask you earlier. We`ve based the design on transistors so far. Do you have a better suggestions? Which one do you use?

Hey Jochen, I sent you a couple emails, lemme know when you get a chance.

mail sent

I used two TPS22960 chips, the imp board, and a lithium ion usb charger for the switchless dual wireless.

I never really worked too much in trying to get a switchless setup because when I tested the design, it worked at first but soon after several problems popped up. It wasn’t until months later that I found out it was all due to the lithium ion cell going bad. After I replaced it, the whole set up worked flawlessly.

The IMP board is fantastic and your use of the load switch was a brilliant idea. But my problem is not being able to switch LED power (and switching “accessory” power for a future project  independently from PCB power… because you can’t have LEDs draining the battery on while charging a battery via PS3 PCB (having USB connected and PS3 PCB powered on, 360 powered off)… I have at least 4-5 joysticks to build and my arcade table to do dual PCB/LED switching on… that warrants a custom PCB solution…

What Bencao74 and I have worked on needs only a SPST if used for dual wireless and completely switchess if its a wired solution… the only situation we didn’t really account for is mixed wired/wireless thats switchless…

On a side note, I just got a bill from fedex brokerage… I have to pay $35 in brokerage fees for $15 worth of resistors that i bought from digikey :arazz:

uhhh, aua, ibah

oh, I `ve to check this friends out.

Do you have made the charger with this max1811 chip? It worked fine for you?

yup I used the max1811 chip and worked just fine.

Pic Tutorial for connecting a xbox360 Fight Pad to Dual Strike.

Dual Strike is a PS3 / PC GameController Board for home made / DIY gaming equipment like Arcade Sticks or Cabs.

Dual Strike is complete solderless for supporting PS3 or PC. Connect your buttons and sticks directly to the screw terminals.

But Dual Strike can do more. It had an extra connector for supporting xbox360 consoles.

You`ve to soldier a common ground controller pad and connect it to dual strike. Dual Strike has then one USB plug for supporting both consoles (PS3, xbox360). Press any key and xbox360 support is turned on. Press no key and PS3 support takes place.

Here are some pics. More detailed step to step tutorial will follow.

Step 1

Prepare your work. Get a 20pin IDC / ribbon cable. Strip the wire end and presolder them. Deassemble your game controller.

Step 2

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_YLXgzxS8cEc/S4GxaDPnbkI/AAAAAAAABS8/OH7zLvuEG2I/s320/IMG_0016.JPG

Presoldier your game controller board. Every point needs a solder drip.

Step 3

Solder the wires to points. Pin mapping will follow !!! For the pros : It`s UPCB pin mapping. To be done!!!

Step 4

Connect the piggybacked game controller to Dual Strike!

**Et voil (for our french friends  )

Dual Strike new version supports PS3 and xbox360 without needing a extra switch. Press any button or stick direction while plugging to switch on xbox360 support. Press nothing for PS3 compability.

Salut!
