Hired Rogue (BIGWORM’s strider). She’s doing aight so far, we survived everfalls. the ogre fell in my game too so who knows how things would’ve turned out…but aside from the ambush with the casters+harpy assist, things weren’t too bad. I’ll be sure to send her off with some nice equipment instead of the usual random mushroom. Gonna see if i can take that ogre near the bandit castle ruins next. Also, looking to hire any striders/rangers/mages around Lv.20ish.
I feel like I missed a lot of Everfall. There were so many side rooms, and different paths that I couldn’t get in. Do I get to go back? Please say yes.
You can buy more skills at pretty much any rest area or inn, but, if you wanna start divebombing assholes with meteors and shit. Get to the capital and upgrade to sorcerer real quick. The capital inn is the only place where you can change classes altogether.
Reading the strat guide & Assassin sounds like it’d be a fucking blast, but too advanced for my first playthrough. I’ll try it once I’m bored with the game & want to start being more creative. For now, took the derp route & am rocking Magick Archer (auto-aim like it’s COD) to hopefully compliment my Fighter-turned-Warrior.
is it wrpg-like in that its non linear and go where you want? I like the aspect of wrpgs where i can go somewhere my character is completely unready for, and I may or may not be able to deal with it.
[spoiler= Berserk equipment]Found them not too long ago. But gonna have to do a quest first for the shop that sells the Berserk equipment opens up, even if it’s just an extermination quest. Have to find an NPC named Avon at the enterance of the quarry, then he’ll offer a quest to “open” a gate. After you up open that gate, you have to clear out the ogres of the quarry. Mostly just smash their head in to make them stagger, but there’s only 3 of them. So after you clear out every existing thing in the quarry, go back to Avon tell him the deed’s done and he’ll go inside. Wait until he goes inside, then go back inside and head over the miner’s quarters for that’s where Avon will setup shop. Hope that helps.[/spoilers]
i hired furrycurry’s (GT: FurryKing) pawn Apollo. he seems to have an arrogance about him but definitely pulls his weight. if there’s any particular item you need lemme know and i’ll gift it to you, if i have any extra, otherwise w/e i’m done with him i’m sending him off w/ any extra armor i pick up along the way. may not be anything strong but you can always sell. also if anyone hire’s my pawn Peorth (GT: mymymaichun) i need ambrosial meat.
btw this may be common knowledge but i’ll list it anyway:
This has got to be one of the best RPGs ever for me. Can’t remember the last game where grinding was still fun.
Just killing those Saurians with the Predator camo because they’re so easy to engage one-by-one from a distance. I use my Magick Archer to attach a bomb to it that melee attacks will detonate, then order two Fighter/Warrior pawns to move in. Never gets old to see the explosive go off & send the Saurian flying 10 feet straight up like Kage’s throw . Watching a tailess Saurian try to escape is hilarious too. Sooooo fucking fast.
I’ve switched to Mystic Knight after I completed my Fighter vocation and I have to say that x enchantment + Ruinous Sigil + Great Cannon is ridiculously OP. Cuts down large monsters like nothing else.
I made sure he stayed confident at all times, a scavenger, but he will not desert the other pawns. I’m glad you enjoyed your time with him. Hopefully the next time you meet him he’ll have better gear.
Sweet. DragDog apps!
Artemis and Apollo Tales Contd
So I’m heading further west but avoiding the dragon and super goblin fight. Found myself locked in a day long battle with a Golem. His last weak point is on the bottom of his fucking foot how the hell am I supposed to hit that shit? I might die and just try it again or ignore the fight altogether. On my end it wasn’t too hard since a strider owns the Golem’s weaknesses for free. Climb and slash or stand back and let off some arrows. Dude can’t be liking me now.
Being a mage right now is boring the fuck out of meeeeeeeee!!
I turned to a sorc, and I’m level 17, but I’ve yet to get any cool spells yet.
My pawn keeps going on adventures all the damn time online. I guess the name I chosen made me realize how many gay people play this game.
Even thought I’ve yet to get cool spells, it seems like the buffs have impressed me more than the normal spells since they power up your normal attacks.
I’ve seen the big cool awesome spells, but for the most part, it seems like you’ll have the most fun using a warrior or something.
Yeah, I think they just fucked up mages here.
I love playing mage class in all these kind of games, but all mages do all day in this game is sit back, wait for spell to charge… and then that’s it.
The bigger spells look cool, look very rewarded, but still looks boring. Like, you’re not doing anything to involve yourself in the action directly. Just casting that spell, waiting for it to charge… and that’s it. You have nothing to manage, and the variety of spells seems to be lacking. So to make up for it, they just made the leveled up spells act crazier and look cooler.
And if you attempted to do something cool in the game as a mage, like climb someone or whatever, you’re going to die!
Mystic Knights and Magick Archers look like a lot more fun (check out videos).
I think I’ll start a new game and go on from there (since I already wasted like all my resources trying to make a sorc).
My pawn will have a new name, but I doubt she’ll go on adventures like my current one due to it’s gay name.
