Ffffuuuuuuu!!! STAY INSIDE AT NIGHT! Bandits opened up a can of Whup Yo Ass on me. Darkness spell on me+rain of arrows+enemy mage throwing fireballs=FML!
Oh wow, the zombies in this game are so legit.
Yo…Is it me or is it easy to get stuck in this game? I did the Everfall quest and after that not sure what im suppose to do now. Got some random quest, traveled around and got eaten up by fuckin bandits. Have a feeling i shouldnt be attempting some of these quests but they dont really tell me whats my next goal for the main quest.
Cool game though.
The game is supposed to be open world. You just do whatever. There is a main quest, and there is an ending, but how/when you get there doesn’t matter.
Two years in actual development time but one year was spent on conceptual phases.
If you factor in that this is a game that Itsuno’s been wanting to make since he was in school, well this joint has been in development since The Legend of Zelda 1.
Seriously though awesome game. You can tell they put a hell of a lot of time into it.
So, anyone run into the Berserk armor/weapons?
EDIT: My plan is to run an Assassin using Daggers and Shield. So, I’m leveling up Strider when I get a skill called Reset. Reset is essentially an almost free to use Roman Cancel, which means no matter what I am doing I will be able to cancel it and block. I hope it is as good as it sounds in my head.
There’s a vid on Capcom’s homepage that tells you how to get them. I haven’t looked into it yet.
In the strategy guide Griffith’s weapons are the easiest ones to identify because they all say something like ‘white hawk.’ Guts’ weapons well, there’s like 3 swords in the strat guide that could be his sword and good luck identifying the armor. Doesn’t stand out as much as Griffith’s because they are white and all.
Just the strat guide anyway. I wish they just labeled the weapons ‘BERSERK’ weapons since the book tells you where you can find every weapon. But I guess they’d probably have to float a check to either Dark Horse or Young Animal for that.
anybody wanna get an SRK pawn list going?
xbox GT: mymymaichun
main pawn: Peorth
class: strider
primary inclination: guardian
secondary inclination: aquisitor
list up your pawns ppl! if you’re my current level or within 5 levels below me and not a strider, i wanna hire you!
the game has been awesome so far! currently sitting around lvl17 and have yet to lose–nor do i ever plan to–which just adds to the pressure when faced with the reoccurring decisions fight or flight and whether to explore off the beaten path. there was actually one instance i came dangerously close to death which happened to involve a gang of bandits coupled with the idiotic decision to set off back to cassardis from gran soren during twilight… needless to say night fell upon us bout a quarter of the way back.
yep reset is just like an RC, i’ve been using it in tandem w/ ensnare to quickly cancel and pull 'em back in for longer combos!
What dwellings are available? I know there are probably inns and such, but are there caves you can go into at night (and why would THEY be safe? anybody can walk in…) If you’re away from a town, what are your options for nighttime safety? I want to know more about this game before I buy, despite liking the demo. I don’t trust Capcom that much any more on non-sf games…

Surprised this one wasn’t posted here yet.
THE HYPEST SHIT
You really don’t like Skyrim do you haha? It’s a quality game.
Skyrim, and the praise it gets, is everything that is wrong with the gaming industry.
I must’ve started over from scratch like 5 times now because this game gives me OCD & I kept finding little things about the appearance/voice of my main character & pawn that I wanted to change after the fact :wasted:. Thus, I haven’t seen anything past the first Hydra battle.
I think I’ve finally settled on what I want them to look like now, so I can spend the entire weekend actually playing the damn game.
Gamertag: FurryKing
Pawn: Apollo (Fighter or whatever the base melee class is), Lv 12
I just finished delivering the Hydra head. Got murdered by bandits chilling in their cabin (I walked in alone which was a huge mistake). This game is smart about it’s difficulty so far. You can kinda see nasties coming before they strike thanks to the chatty pawns. Can’t wait to go deeper. My only gripe is the clunk menus and the lack of even a quick inventory. And the screen tearing.
^Those bandits at the cabin outside of Gran Soren were no joke.
ok can do. Ive already pre-ordered it like a week ago. I just wanted to make sho my money was well spent. Im fixin to try out the demo as soon as my bud hops off the MW3 trolling peeps.
Yeah I thought I was the shit the first time. Running all up on them like some wanna be gangsta. I stepped in that cabin and in the blink of three eyes I was out cold. Second time I arrowed the guy standing outside the cabin to provoke their rage while my party rushed in behind me and we handled them most handidly.
I’d really love to see a sequel on the next gen consoles. At least graphically it will be better (But who knows what’s going on control wise for the next gen).
Demo is sick… game has to be sick with it too…
Man… I need to get my stacks up to purchase this game yo…
Irresponsible student loan money use? Nah…
Hire my pawn:
GT: NIckAppleese
Pawn: Rogue
Level 7 Strider
I just got done delivering the Hydra’s head myself. About to do this Everfall thing.
To be fair, I don’t think it was THAT bad.
I never played it myself, but saw buddies played it. I had a good time laughing at a lot of the death animations and glitches. As for the gameplay, I think I feel asleep, I don’t remember what happened.
Overall, I’m having a lot of fun with this game.
The “grab” command should just be called the “holy shit this button does everything awesome” command. Also, being a mage sucks right now, but seeing the late game mages look so fuckin’ fun.
Hunnngghhh… maybe an Archer…?!
