I keep hearing this. It was the tutorial, how hard were people expecting it to be?

It was only level 20 out of 199 levels. I doubt it’s any kind of reflection on how easy the entire game will be.

This is the kind of game I’ll love to play on PC and for some reason it’s not going to be there. Capcom has released most of their games this gen for PC as well and the one game that will be great on it gets cut. It’s so odd.

Seriously, I would deal with GFWL just to play this game. It’s like Capcom doesn’t want my money because I sure as hell aren’t buying this on console.

Do you actually read the things people say in this thread or what?

I, for one, am glad this will be on console since the only game I’ll be playing on PC will be Diablo 3 anyway.

Blah. I’ll patiently wait for Torchlight 2. That game is what I expected Diablo 3 to be.

Yeah, do you? I bet all you read of my post was “too easy” got emotional and started typing. I’m aware the demo is at lvl 20, even then it seems very easy.

@ the rest

The combat is good not dark souls good or even ninja gaiden good, the demo practically played itself. I want it to be good, but it look likes the kinda game I could finish without dying.

They’ve touched on this subject before in interviews.

If you suck dick at games you can just recruit overpowered AI partners (like the ones in the demo? i dunno, i saw it streamed and figure it’s not worth the bandwidth) and the game will pretty much play itself.

If you don’t suck dick then you can choose to make the game more challenging, maybe go through it alone or recruit allies who exist only so they can die and make you look more badass by comparison

Does anyone know if the enemies health scales to the amount people its fighting?

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Now I’m just doing the fool.

i was impressed by the demo. i like how fast paced it plays. and you can come a lot of things from R1 and L1 “branches” of moves into none 1 branches, which is pretty dope.

im outi

Currently playing the prologue portion of the demo now. Love the atmosphere and the character creation. Might be picking this up if the combat is fun.

trying the demo out now, making cable and hope summers

atmosphere is great, character design is great. gameplay im not too happy with, I saw on a forum someone complaining about no lock on, I thought he was being a noob but in my opinion he/she was absolutely right, this game feels clumsy without some sort of lock on

I noticed a loose lock on depending on proximity but I don’t know, it’s either innovative or clumsy

I’m liking the demo. I heard this is just an old demo from E3(?) or something, so it’s understandable why it would be made easy and short, since at those conventions they want people to try it and get the hell out. I play a decent amount of monster hunter and the no lock on felt alright to me. I’m not worried about it being too easy because many previewers have been saying they died many times and ran into situations that got out of hand. Also seems like some higher level monsters are extremely tough, like the drake seen here and it sounds like you can just randomly encounter him by wandering around. These guys were also level 40, so it they were at least much stronger than the demo characters too.

I always thought the reason why games like Monster Hunter (and games of it’s like) had no lock on because since targeting specific areas on a large monster, they want the player to manually aim where to hit, whereas most lock-on systems just sort of lock on to the center of mass of an enemy, though there are games with lock on to body parts.

Just played the demo and I do like it. Really like that I can grab unto enemies and the options you get from L1/R1+buttons. I tried that mission in which you got the archer with the daggers and as I was unleashing hell upon those goblins some large thing with wings flew in and ended my life. Wow.

Also the OXM guy who did the other DD video before posted more videos. It’s a Griffin quest and it seems much stronger than the one we fight in the demo, with his guys being mid 30s. The griffin seems harder to take down and is doing lightning spells. In the demo I only had him try to swoop and swipe at me and sometimes do some gust attack, but I never saw any lightning.

Same here, no lock-on didn’t bother me at all. Doesn’t seem that hard to just face the enemy on your own.

Wait, this game doesn’t have lock-on?

It’s going to get terrible reviews :coffee:
