They added a Hard mode. I haven’t tried it yet but it’s there now. And while fast travel is discouraged during your first run there still could have been faster travel going on. I’m 1000% for horseback riding in the sequel (and also being able to set up camp virtually anywhere but at a risk of being attacked while you sleep).
They are easily obtained if you are in late-game or just have loads of cash. If you’re the type of person who likes to collect and hold onto every piece of gear they were hard to come by.
Agreed. I tend to give my ferrystones away to friends’ pawns. Was thinking of hoarding some for the eventual speedrun, but if owners of the OG game get unlimited stones in DA (is that how it works, haven’t looked too far into it), I won’t bother holding on to them.
There is a spawnpoint at the Gran Soren portcrystal that respawns every 7 in-game days.
There is a ferrystone pickup at the top of Bluemoon Tower, which I don’t think respawns.
Multiple escort quests give you a ferry stone as a reward.
And again Fournival sells them, it’s not rare if a merchant sells them.
And if you need to fast travel before late-game then you’re doing it wrong.
The “proper” way to play is to get a many quests as possible and when you go for one quest try to knock out others along the way. Having to plan trips is one of the game’s best features.
Hmmm, Japanese voice options? I’m actually curious, wasn’t the Japanese release voice acting only in English too? I remember the JP trailer had English voice acting. I sort of it figured it was kind of like how all the DMC games are always in English no matter what.
There is one sole reason that I would like an infinite ferrystone: to make the end game dungeon crawling easier for any person (such as myself) who accidently got Asalam the innkeeper to fall in love with them.
Started a new game in hard mode. Every hit by a goblin removes 85% life or more… But you get a ton more gold. I’ll try to survive until I can buy some armor in Gran Soren.
So shall this be called the “Run for you lives!” mode?
I wish they would make it more obvious just how much so and so is attracted to you. That pink glow doesn’t really help since multiple people can have it. I remember having my female arisen load Mercedes up with a shit load of cloudwine, finish every quest involving her, and I even gave her the Arisen’s Bond just to make sure. I still end up with Madeline, and I never did anything with her gift wise beyond finishing her questline. Either Mercedes take playing hard to get way too far, or the love system is totally jacked up
I played the demo of this and had some fun with it.
When it comes to the full game though, how is it?
Is there any news on new skills/items/classes?
Better than that x10.
New Dark Arisen screenshots! Revealing several badass monsters such as the Salamander (like a flaming lizard man), the Garm (a giant wolf-like), and the Curse Dragon, which is obviously an undead dragon.
This is going to be so worth it!
Man, fighting crowds of hellhounds were brutal… Now we have salamanders… This is gonna be fun…
I really hope that this expansion gives us more dungeon crawling like the Everfall. That is what made the game, for me.
Come on co-op…please.
New Everfall levels perhaps?
I also demand co-op for this game… Think of the combinations you could have… Or you could have 4 invisible Assassins wailing on the Ur-Dragon…
Co-op definitely could work. Even if you could just have a friend play as your main pawn, the problem is they would have to make the enemies a lot tougher.
Dante: You scared?
