WTF is going on here and what do I need to do to my Arisen (red headed, green eyed, female sorceress named Phoenix) to be able to do this.
It’s an Assassin move I think where you set your Arisen on fire. It’s pretty crazy though I didn’t use it all that much.
Yeah, the game is really good and fun, a lot of people underestimate it and see it as an “inferior Skyrim”, but it really worth it, have fun.
Skyrim is the inferior Dragon’s Dogma!
(I kid but I do prefer the dynamic and quite frankly epic action found in Dragon’s Dogma)
I enjoyed too Skyrim but Dragon’s Dogma just killed him about fights.
Dark Arisen NOT Being Released Mere Add-On, But as Separate Title
I suspected as much, considering there was never any official word that it’d be released as add-on DLC. I’ll get the digital version just 'cuz I like the game so damn much & will no longer have to listen to my Blu-Ray drive spinning up for hours on end. But damn, queue the flak they got for SSF4 & UMVC3.
So what is the deal with the expansion, i want to buy dragons dogma but i am not sure if i should wait for the expansion/update/revision to do it
I read on Siliconera that it would be DLC though.

In North America Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available at retail stores for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and as a download from PlayStation Network on April 23, 2013 for $39.99.
Priced at $40. It’s not quite the expansion people were hoping for (i.e. it’s a GOTY/Gold Edition re-release of sorts).
Yea, thinking of re-buying this game and… I don’t know.

The expansion is a “GotY” edition deal of sorts. The original game comes with it along with the extra content. Dark Arisen will be your best bet if you want to get the game.

Recreating the Zodd vs Guts battle sounds awesome, but not awesome enough to buy the game again for $40.

Unlimited Ferrystone?? This is worth the price of admission. I don’t know if I’ll bite if you can’t play it with previous saves, though. I played the shit out of DD vanilla and I was working on “perfecting” my save, but I am unsure now.
But if you haven’t played the game before, you definitely should! It is a real gem!
Sounds like it’s time to borrow / rent a copy of vanilla and wait for this GOTY edition.
Ferrystones are easily obtained in vanilla DD, Fournival sells them for 9k a piece or you can just farm the spawnpoints or the Everfall.
The whole point was NOT having quick travel. Now if only they ramp up the difficulty to make every little trip challenging and interesting throughout the game and not just if you happen to be in the lucky sweetspot.
