New patch came out today with hard mode and time trial. If you beat them you unlock some new armor. I like this game so I’m gonna check out hard mode and see if it gives any players who already beat the game a decent challenge.
I still play this game. Right now I’m trying to complete it (collect every piece of armor and weapon, do all side quests, unlock all skills, get all trophies. etc.)
It truly is a gem of a game, and completely worth playing through more than twice. For every flaw I find in it I find 5 or so more things to love about it. If only it ran at 60 fps reliably 
I’m very excited for the expansion and the possibility of a sequel. There are so many things that this game could have, that I don’t think they had enough time or resources to include in the original release (with it being a new IP and all).
^Yeah I’m looking forward to playing Hard. I wonder how long time attack will take me though.
It depends, do you have to start a new character and pawn for time attack or do you just have to play as your current pawn?
This game is top tier, take notes Square.
Be careful about the new update guys, it seems its destroy your save when you launch the game.

Luckily for me, I beat the game on my Platinum run, so it started me on NG++++ and I chose Hard Mode before it started. Plus I’m on the cloud, so I’m not too worried.

Guys, is the expansion going to be a free add-on like all of these free extras coming out, or will it be DLC+a new disc release? I’ve wanted to play this game for a while, but it seems like I should maybe hold off to buy the “complete” version.
I’ve been lead to believe that its (paid) DLC, and maybe another issue of the game + the DLC.

Yeah they’ve been vague as to if its downloadable or if its on a disc, or both. It keeps being called an “expansion”.
It’s both. Right now they are focusing on Japan where it did better and re-releases with new content on discs do better but trust me it’ll be like all their other DLC for all their other games. RE5, SFIV, LP have all had dlc and then upgraded cheaper editions down the line. Fret not children.
I’m curious to see if the disc version of Dark Arisen will have the loads of DLC that they made available for the original version, such as the armor sets and the weapons. Probably not, though.
Finally got to pick up a copy of this over the holidays. Goddamit, why did I not pick this shit up earlier?
