Dragon's Dogma (From the director of DMC3)

Do the pawns know what the great cannons are? I laid down RS and stacked two GCs last night, the three pawns with me ran inside the circle and my ranger did hundred kisses on it. I’m sure my hired sorc cast something right at it as well. All I saw was light frying everywhere, couldn’t even see the enemies anymore.
Fuuuuuck, got the hydra last night too, epic battle. Couldn’t manage to get all the heads off at once, though I came close. Anyone know what happens if you get all the heads off the hydra before it’s life bar drops?

It lays on the floor defenseless and you do insane damage on it during this time. Most likely you’ll kill it once this happens.

I missed the gen 30 ur dragon kill but still got my rewards. All I got was the holy shield. Too bad I usually don’t use a shield, but I can try to do something like run showdown for extra damage.

What is the gen 30 kill

It’s just the 30th ur dragon to be killed online. It stays around for like 30 minutes after the people are able to bring it’s health down so you can get a last hit in and dragon forge your stuff.

I’m on xbox and they are on the 31st generation. I think Ps3 might be close to gen 60 or something.

69th gen I believe. Come on guys, step it up, PS3 users are beasting you.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Japan has a lot to do with that

EDIT: Speaking of which, just ran into the Ur-Dragon for the first time. By the time he flew away it looked like I didn’t do shit to his lifebar.

Changed my pawn from Arthur to BOF Ryu. Still a Fighter, though that’s only going to last until New Game+, where I’ll try out that class & maybe have a Mage for my main pawn.

Yea it’s no surprise ps3 is that far ahead. On neogaf the first week sales in japan was something like close to 300k for ps3 while 360 only had a fraction of that. I wonder how much this game sold in other territories. I think vgchartz says like 400k and 160k respectively.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see this game getting over 1m by the end of the year. I hope they add something for endgame characters that pretty much maxed out most of their stuff. Seeing something like the Broken Steel DLC which added new enemy encounters and replaced the fodder would be very awesome.

I hired special pawn, inspired by Devil May Cry’s Lady, Lady today. She tore into that poor fire drakes ass.

I’m on the final quest now. I’ve been dragging my feet. It’s like I don’t want this game to end!

I saw a Dhalsim pawn in the rift today.

Which stat are the Mystic Knight’s weapon enchantments based on? The weapon’s magick or the shield’s?

EDIT: First Ur-Dragon looting YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Just made it to post game last night. Everything looks nuts.

Should I visit every location again? Will anything be different in…lets say the Catacombs/Bluemoon Tower/etc.?

Get to the Frontier Caverns. Bring lots of heals.
Sadly, the area around it is still the same weak goblins it was before. I guess it’s just the castle area and Cassandris that got the enemy buffs.
If you haven’t yet, hang around outside the castle for a bit. Keep looking up.
And I’ve got to say, FUCK Chamber of Fate. Jesus, really?

Ok thanks. Yeah I picked up a notice board quest that was vague as hell.

“Challenge” - Meet me in the Frontier Caverns…I was like oh shit lol.

All I remember from that chamber was a shit ton of fireballs being thrown, lightning bolts shooting down, hellhounds doing a zerg rush, my pawns getting bad breath’d/buttraped by chimeras and me running the fuck out.

Top priority in that chamber is the wight, he’ll just keep summoning hellhounds. As soon as you enter the room, enchant your weapons with holy if you can, if you can’t pray you have a competent sorc who can. Clear the wight then the hellhounds, then the two chimeras are easy.
But still, fuck that chamber. That room is supposed to switch between the wight, hellhounds, gore chimera and normal chimera and a different setup with a drake and harpies/succubi. Much prefer the drake.

Chamber of Fate was fun (naw, I’m not a badass over here). Because I was over-leveled throughout much of the game, it was my first really challenging boss battle. All three pawns were dying almost as soon as I revived them, until somehow our group was whittled down to just me & my main pawn. But once we killed that wight, things started to get under control.

New Game+ as a fresh fighter isn’t as easy as I thought it’d be. The drake near the Shadowfort is kicking my ass. Guess I have to increase my vocation in it.

That’s the problem I had with Fate, I didn’t realize the wight was summoning hellhounds. I tried focusing on clearing them out first, next thing I know there’s ten of the damn things running around. Get it out of the way and the rest will fall fairly quickly. Still, ain’t changing my mind on that one, fuck that chamber.

Do the chambers ever end? Is that Quince quest the last one?

I just wanna make sure I don’t skip anything else as I plan to roam around for a bit and I still I need to go to the Frontier Caverns for that one quest.

That is the last quest.

Skip the Chamber of Lament unless you’re prepared. Dying/running away there matters to everyone playing online.

Ahh ok cool. I used a Ferrystone after 3 or 4 chambers to do some other stuff.

Went and did the challenge in the Frontier Caverns, it was surprisingly easy. I don’t know if I’m overpowered or what, but I only used like one heal fighting “it”. (I don’t remember how to use spoiler tags)

Same thing with the dragons. I’m at level 55 I believe, but my class is a Ranger and I just load up the Tenfold Arrow and rape. I have a Warrior, Fighter, and Mage as my pawns.

I’m looking for that Ur Dragon but haven’t found him yet.

It’s sad this game is almost over

So I’m able to go to Tainted Mountain to kill THE Dragon, and I’m level 38 along with my pawn, and the other pawns are levels 50. Am I good to go?
