I thought you weren’t playing anymore
^Game is too good to just “quit.”
I’m actually playing as an Assassin right now and I love the darker twist it takes on Strider. A neat trick is that if you ever switch out your daggers for the sword you lose your double jump but switching back to daggers brings it back. What I mean by “darker twist” is that you get seemingly more sinister Bow and Dagger moves Bite for the dagger where your character grabs the enemy (not big bosses I don’t think) and cuts once then jams the other other dagger right in the heart for a potentially poisonous effect. It’s effing bad ass. You also can get augmentations that beef up your strength, stamina, health, etc. at nighttime. I feel like a scary bitch running around mercing fools in the shadows.
I do miss the Ensnare move from Strider though. I loved being able to pull 1-3 dudes closer to me. If I had that with Spider Bite I’d be one sick puppy. I’m almost done maxing out this vocation so I’m probably going to move to the apparently boring Magic Archer or Mystic Knight.
Nice Arthur you got there, Gren. It’s a good thing he doesn’t die in two hits in this game like in Ghost n’ Goblins.
So how do you upgrade classes anyway?
Thanks, man. Right now I just hired your Strider & Rabbit2K7’s Fighter. There’s no magic-user on my team now, lol.
Anytime you go to an inn, there’ll be an option to “Learn or Set Skills” that will let you upgrade. Only the inn at Gran Soren lets you change vocations, though.
I can’t believe I finished the game the first time without visiting the south western part of the map. at all. I’m there right now and it’s awesome.
At the Gran Soren Inn talk to the innkeeper. One of the options is to “Change vocation.”
Southwest? Maybe I’m not there yet. I’m at Lv 45 and I’m now just going after the Griffin officially. I’m a little over powered.
Im level 25 and I’m down there.
You mean like bloodwater beach, Conqueror’s Sanctuary?
Yes, exactly.
Guys…!
I want Madeline to open her shop. I want my characters to look slutty!!
Just watch out for that dragon. I went there at level 25 and just got smoked. I decided to grab on to him while he was on the floor. Not such a good idea lol. Dude dropped me with 11 hp left.
Pretty much this.

I think I like this game’s armor system, they get that the less it covers a woman’s body the higher the armor class is. Can’t believe that the Sophitia-style set you find at the female bandit camp+thong is pretty much the best you can find for a ranger at Gran Soren, even with the golden idol. Not much is beating it, so I’m keeping it. How’s the armor at Great Wall, any ranger gear there ridiculously op? Don’t feel like making the trek there just to be disappointed.
I fucking love the armor system.

It think Rabbit2K7’s Seth may have gotten knocked off a cliff by a cyclops. I know he was there when we started the fight, but had disappeared by the end.
Was a good run, though. Killed at least 3 cyclopes, a griffin, and that drake dragon. And our group had no mage, so I was hoarding all the curatives for myself. The pawns would fight 'til death, then I’d revive them. He held his own with party members almost twice his level.
Seth does what Seth wants.
