Dragon's Crown (Chun-li has been dethroned as Queen of Thighs)

Just beat the final boss. Man, was that fight a bitch. Gonna start an Amazon tomorrow as well as building my Elf up in hard too.

How many did you get now?

Had to quit there because it seemed like it was getting choppy in the goo room, didn’t want to risk a freeze, and I was hungry.

That Red Dragon whooped my ass at first, my shield isn’t high enough to defend his attacks so i’m forced into hit and run, which doesn’t really work in the treasure room.

The red dragon’s gonna take me a few tries to beat.

Gah I love Dragon’s Crown so much, have to stay up all night writing my final paper but I regret nothing.

All they have to do now is patch in voice chat, fix that goddamn freezing glitch, oh and allow players other than the first player to advance in the story in local co-op… Also item trading between players would be nice too >:3

Gah I had to go look up this old vid as DC stoked my heartache over DFO

<3 Atlus and the DC team

Oh and fuck you Nexon USA

edit: oh yeah and add kick function too if it’s not there

Since I’m about as retarded as they come, I need some clarification on something. When you have your weapon, armor, necklace, basically everything but items and skill items, do you have to have that specific item equipped (next to your name and health bar) for it to take affect? Pretty sure you dont as your main gear always has the ā€œEā€ next to it and blinking but I just want to make sure. I’m tripping balls here.

No.

Those were some really good runs. I finally beat the Red Dragon and got me some S gear. If anyone wants to do more chains, I’m up for it. Need demand lvls.

And I wanted to play DFO again after playing DC for a little… But nahhhhh.

Just wish there was some sort of chat system in place… I don’t have a headset for the PS3… So, yeah. I just like voice chatting while playing. Makes it even more enjoyable, buy, that’s just me.

I believe that everything besides items and skills take affect so you don’t have to switch over for the effects to work.

Thanks folks. I was just wondering cause I added another Elf to my party for the very first time and noticed there was always a ring next to her name instead of a bow. Pretty sad that I’ve put 25 hours in already and still dont know a damn thing.

Like Pterodactyl and blackjack said, no you don’t. All of the items you have equipped in your bag will always have the stat bonus+effects active.

First time I go online and I get my first S item. Does this raise the chance of high ranking items?

…That’s because she moved her items around with the left and right directional pad buttons, and she ended up leaving it on the ring.

Happens to me sometimes when frantically switching between potions.

That reminds me.

A good tip, memorize where the areas are directly before a boss battle, potion up there before you move on to the full fight so you can take off a big chunk at the start of the fight.

I usually use one strength potion, one anti-knock back potion, distraction(for the 30% boost) and I run in and immediately block for the 100% damage buff.

In the run with Neesa I did that against the Kraken.

Was a less than half a minute fight it seemed.

My cooking in this gam is getting better.

Really, really good tip.

Start off with a boss meat always, and use all three of the additives on it, mix it twice, then eat it. Gonna be a huge boost to all of the cooking bonuses, especially health.

put some vegetables in a pot while you cook the meat on a skillet, the pot takes longer to cook so you can put a lot of work into the meats while you let the vegetables sit.

Boss meat takes priority over all the other foods, even if you’re already cooking more than one item, start cooking a boss meat whenever it comes up as soon as possible, they give much bigger boosts than the other.

You get extra bonuses for stirring foods and adding the three items in the bottom right to the pot or pan your food is in.

If you’ve already added things to your food and you’re party members seem overwhelmed or just not as good at the mini-game as you it’s helpful to add the additives to their food yourself.

I love games that you actually have to figure out, this game was well worth the 50$, it has deeper systems, secrets, and strategies in it than most 3D games nowadays.

I must not be far enough I still dont understand what deep pockets does or how to exploit it.

Dont really get the bags yet either. Is this to have a different loadout based on the alternate path you take?

And how do you join a specific persons game?

EDIT: you can equip stats to items? I’m so fucking lost.

That was me, guessing it would be the case, in the discussion we were having prior to release.

Deep Pockets add a slot to your item bags. Multiple bags are useful if you do multiple dungeons at a time.

And with that little tidbit of news, this is now official the perfect console beat 'em up/loot game. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been doing all of the B Paths solo, floating randomized runs, getting some good loot.

Just three talismans to go.

Just beat the game with my elf today, and I’m starting up with my dwarf. Am I playing this wrong or does The Mayor not have an AA to use? I’m so used to the elf flipping her little butt all over the place. Not expecting a 4 foot guy built like a boulder to be flipping like he’s Evan Bourne, but at least a strong uppercut would be nice, is there a skill I need or does he just not have it? Yeah, I skipped the tutorial for him, I may have missed something.

So I can have more than one bag at a time?
How can I get more than one bag?
What do you mean by multiple dungeons?

I honestly feel I’m not playing this game the proper way…

You can have up to 9 bags, but you can’t buy them until you’re given one, it’ll happen when you get far enough.
Multiple dungeons happen after you go thorough all 9 levels once, then you get to chain levels without going back to the inn if you want. You get bonuses the longer you stay in, but be aware that once a blue moon you’re going to freeze up and lose your progress, so don’t stay in if you get a ton of S loot.

I cant play Castle Crashers anymore.

I cant believe I thought that game was an amazing beat’em up.

It’s not bad, it’s just this game has set the bar so fucking high for me all games before it have retroactively sunk in rating for me.
