Do you know which foods do what, or at least give ATK bonuses in the ToM selection?
ToM doesn’t give you boss meats.

lessee, I go for [Mussels Bouillabaisse,Rabbit Stew, Barracuda Meuniere], (Carrot Soup, and Pea Potage). Usually, the first group appear together and the second as another group. I cook the soups fast while I pan-fry the fish slowly so by the time I finish eating the soups, the fish is ready. For the second group, I only cook two dish at a time because vegetables cook much faster than seafood.
The physical damage type multipliers are (assuming you have add E damage to attacks):
So if you have two %50 normal damage items, the total would be 2x base.
If you had a %50 normal item and a %40 bonus item, the total damage would be 1.5 * 1.4 * base, or 2.1 * base. The desire is to get as many different types as you can. When spread out, the damage greatly increases.
The pump up one is pretty weak since there are a lot larger “normal” damage traits out there.
Vidness, do you know how damage stacks up across multiple equipment? If I have dmg+30% on 5 pieces of equipment, what does that translate into overall?
Also, do you know if there are limits to certain traits? Like, does critical dmg dealt have a limit? Thanks.
Would someone mind explaining the stats in the game for me? I’ve been playing through this and I’ve never understood what CON, INT, DEX were.
Alas, I’ve confirmed that score only goes to 99,999,999 + whatever bonus you received on the current floor. I did a 112 floor run (701-813), got 99,999,999 score somewhere around floor 99, but didn’t get to keep any bonus score after that. I actually died on the last floor 813 and didn’t continue, and ended up with a flat 300,000,000 exp score at the end. Suckage.
On an unrelated, I also found out that those containers with lit logs you see in various stages (e.g. at the bottom and top of the stairs in the first section of every ToM floor) - y’know, the ones that tip over when you hit them - inflict exactly 50% damage on any enemy when falling. That’s 50% of their total HP, not current, so they can kill enemies that are weak. Very useful against mid bosses or red aura enemies with tons of HP, but you can to make sure that the container hits the enemies, not your attack, or else it won’t work.
Also, I somehow got the Killer Rabbit’s Death Bite to do 0 damage. My current build makes me, at times, take 0 damage from attacks in the air, but I haven’t been keeping track under what circumstances. It just happens a lot. I assume it’s when I’m not equipped with my ice hammer, which has a +50% dealt/taken trait on it, but I need to doublecheck. I definitely was in the air when the Rabbit’s Bite came at me; however, I can’t be certain if the attack actually hit me and I no-sold it, or if the attack missed and it was some other attack that hit me that I no sold.
Finally, holy shit at the 800+ bosses. I knew about the fact that they make themselves invincible, though I didn’t think it would be so often, but I don’t recall anyone mentioning the fact that the homing AoE effects are much bigger (like 25% of the screen), every boss now has Gazer’s frog spell, every boss now has Sorceress’s Thunder Cloud following me around wrecking shit, and more bosses (all of them?) now randomly cast Meteor. CHRIST.
Now I see why some say the Amazon sucks at higher floors: Once you hit floor 801, DPS, which was already less important from floor 501, is now virtually irrelevant compared to burst damage. You can no longer kill enemies before they become a threat and inflict too much damage - now, you HAVE to wait until they’re vulnerable and inflict as much damage as possible before some bullshit counter kicks in and kills you.

Just take all the attributes and tally then up like my previous message. No limits on most. Some things that don’t stack:
Charge speeds
Damage up if spell repeated
Regain % of last damage taken
There may be some others, I can’t remember at the moment.
Vidness:
Exactly how to “tally them up” is what I’m asking. Do offensive traits add up additionally or multiply on different equipment? Defensive traits seem to be multiplicative: That is, 5 sets of “Dmg taken -20%” doesn’t translate into taking -100% damage, but rather 33% damage (0.8 x 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.8). How do offensive traits stack up? Does 5 sets of DMG +30% translate into 1.3 + 1.3 + 1.3 + 1.3 + 1.3 = 650% damage (i.e. traits are additive), or 1.3 x 1.3 x 1.3 x 1.3 x 1.3 = 371% damage (i.e. traits are multiplicative)? And are all traits handled the same way or are some done one way and some another?
I"m only asking because you’re the great god of DC at this point and I doubt anyone else can answer.
BBHood:
Stats stuff found here. The only thing that’s not mentioned is that, beyond very low levels, raw stats matter very little in DC.
Amazon doesn’t suck at higher floors, you just have to change your play-style. Power Smash builds are really good at higher floors. Player’s skill set here: http://fruitriin.sakura.ne.jp/DrgnsCrwnSS/eng/?A9b703aa3594025000110033 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6kSvrRvJJw
Double Tornadoes? NANDATTOOOOOO???

Oooh you’re talking about damage taken. Damage dealt is all tallied, then applied. Damage taken is each item is applied one by one. Like if you had 5 damage taken -20%, instead of damage -100%, you get
damage - (damage * .20) - ((damage - damage * .20) * .20)…etc But the higher level monsters still deal so much damage they still kill you rapidly.
So the Luc/15 chance to null damage taken is interesting. Well it doesn’t really null damage taken, just makes every hit do 1 damage, even my pumped up characters. So I made a bag with 42 Luc+30 attributes which pushed my Luc /15 to 100%. I went to see Mr. Rabbit, and BOOM, one hit I was done…I think if a move normally does any damage to you, you’d still die from Mr. Chompers… You can still evade and take 0, but if you aren’t invincible, your brain is going flying!
Oh the % chances to null/ignore armour stack. Just an FYI.
Would someone mind explaining the stats in the game for me? I’ve been playing through this and I’ve never understood what CON, INT, DEX were.
If I remember correctly:
CON = Constitution. Physical Resistance;
INT = Intelligence. Magical Damage;
DEX = As higher the points of this stat, higher the chance of your weapon inflict higher damage. Like, your weapon causes 5 - 15 damage, the higher DEX points you have, higher the chance of doing 15 damage. It’s like the stability of the weapon or something like that;
MGR = Magical Resistance;
STR = Strength. Physical Damage;
LUC = Increase chances of critical hits.
Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

Hehe I might could fire it up…what time were you thinking?

Probably around 7pm or so CST. Feel free to add me on PSN: Turbovec
Just recently broke 100 with my main. I’ve bought everything I wanted for my build with 14 skill points to spend.
I’ve got
Power Shot 10
Rapid Fire 1
Spacious Quiver 5
Impact Arrow 7
Clone Strikes 3
Toxic 1
Dagger 3
Salad Oil 3
Lore 1
Backstab 10
Battle Hardened 5
Maintainence 5
Evasion 3
Deep Pockets 1
There’s nothing else that’s particularly essential to my build. Probably going to take another rank in Deep Pockets to hold a Seal of the Conqueror, beyond that, I’m not too sure where to proceed.
Any suggestions, particularly those that are more relevant as I get deeper into LoC/ToM.
Edit: For example, extra vitality to push me closer to 666 looks good on paper, but I’m told you pretty much get scraped in a couple hits regardless higher in ToM. Might grab some more rapid shot so I can hit things I don’t have time to get a charge shot into.
Getting online now. Just hit Infernal difficulty with my sorceress because I’m a scrub. Feel free to add me if you want to join.
Dunno if this has been posted before, OST rip
