Does fire-to-ice/ice-to-fire still proc the base element?

For example:

Shoot a fireball at a goblin, will they catch aflame or while they freeze? If they catch on fire does the DoT count as ice damage now?

What it looks like is what physical thing it will do. The modifiers only affect damage.

Just wondering, because the prefixes bonus % as Ice/Fire damage actually proc the effects, albeit much rarely than the chance to freeze/ignite prefixes.

Damn, those stupid wyverns rocked my shit. Killed my homegirl. Gotta pour some mead for the pile of bones that held it down. Oh well, found another pile of bones, time for a new squeeze.

GRRAAAGHH! My post didn’t go through. Gonna have to type it again.

Anyway, I’m getting closer to confirming something I’ve long suspected: Total score may be able to go beyond 99,999,999. I just did a 98 floor run (floor 508 to 606), and my final experience total was 302,380,544. Divide that my 3, and you get an actual score of 100,793.514.66667 (100,793,515 with rounding).

Now, looking at my score total, it says I got a score of 99,999,999 and a bonus score of 793,516, which is correct. What I need to confirm is if the ā€œscoreā€ part goes past 99,999,999 and only the visible portion of the score remains that way, and the final score doesn’t top out at 99,999,999 + whatever bonus I get on the current stage. Since it takes roughly 100 floors to get 100,000,000 score, I’ll do, say, a 120 floor run, and see if my final total ends up substantially higher. Unless someone beats me to it, that is.

That’s due to the poison effect it has. If you have poison immunity you won’t get slowed down.

BTW, before Vidness hooked me up and allowed me to bypass DoC’s stupid RNG for drops (thanks Vidness!) I got to floor 640 with Dwarf largely solo (completely solo once I hit floor 500) and without much trouble once I adjusted. 1.06 Dwarf is the best version of Dwarf, even though he doesn’t quite do the derpy damage of 1.05 Sniper Dwarf. I stuck with the same build had been using since 1.01, and didn’t go the fancy max slide + ice amulet route (it’s fun, no doubt, but after Sniper Dwarf got nerfed, I didn’t want to give up anything to run with it permanently; especially in 1.06 where Bomb Satchel got unnerfed - I needed all the fire skills to get the nuke [150,000+] on demand).

Hey Ptero, what floor have you reached with Dwarf?

re: Tiers

Tiers are a bit tricky in this game since you have classes that are better at certain things than others (e.g. DPS, survivability, support, and team synergy). The only thing I would say is that the Sorceress and the Wizard, all other things being equal, are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more build-dependent than the other classes. That is, with enough practice and skill, you can go far with the melee classes (and Elf) even with crappy equipment, but Wizard and Sorceress get MUCH harder to play at lower levels unless you start creating proper builds much sooner.

In other words, if you’re planning to use the magic classes, be prepared to do a lot of grinding just to survive much earlier than the melee classes.

hanzohattori:

The only way to power up Seal of the Conqueror is to take the character that you wish to use it on and climb through all 99 floors of the Labyrinth of Chaos. Note that it’s a trait on the character, not the Seal itself, so you don’t need to equip it while climbing.

re: random tidbit

LOL, the Killer Rabbit’s Death Bite did 999,999 damage to Rannie. Hey Vidness, do you know if the Killer Rabbit’s Death Bite still auto-kill even with massive defense buffs, or could it be perhaps that they just increased its damage (it used to be survivable before 1.05, remember?) to the point where it’s practically unsurvivable?

I wish I knew which level of Shield skills lets you block most boss attacks, because I have it at 8 and I feel like I only block for the cover allies buff and the counter and not for protection, I don’t need a lot of absorbtion for multiple hits as I rarely try to spend time tanking them with the shield.

Sadly, even I, with everything else doing 1pt of damage AND using a ā€˜Survive one hit KO with x health’, Mr. Bunny still takes you out in one hit. It must be part of the code and not calculated.

Killer Rabbit makes me salty.

The Wizard get more fun and better in combat as you go along, I just found this out.

Does the wizard have a piece of equipment that gives him chance of.not using a spell like the Sorceress? If he does then it’d be worthwhile for me to pick him and and spam meteor spells or something
something.

What are the best scrolls or rings to use against Demon King?

The Wizard and Sorc can use each others LoC and ToM glasses, so I guess he could have that, if those are from her glasses.

There’s also another piece of equipment, I think the staff, for each ~60 something percent compounded with one another you can just pew pew pew pew pew pew all day uhhrday.

Wiz and Sorc don’t share staves.

I was able to get +88% ATK today eating, 1 Red Dragon Steak, 2 Demon Hearts, and a buncha green peas soup. I could have scored higher if I had cooked green peas only since they replenished quite rapidly.

@Vidness I heard quite some time ago that there were ToM hammers for the Dwarf that give him bonus damage when pumped up.

Do these indeed exist?

Are you taking about the glitch? It’s been patched.

No, I think he’s asking about the ā€œDMG dealt +X% during Pumped Upā€. It’s not a green effect, it’s purple. It certainly exists, but I’ve never gotten it ā€œnaturallyā€, so I’m not sure what equipment it normally shows up on.

Oh that, it maxes out at 20% and falls into the same category as standard damage.

What exactly does that mean?
