Dragon's Crown (Chun-li has been dethroned as Queen of Thighs)

Every time I go to join one of y’all save for Combo and Neesa, y’all are rolling with full randoms, bathing in the lag.

No one else to play with.

I only have 3 people on my friends list that play this and they arent ever on when I am playing. I wont even fuck with a random party. A lot of you make it sound like a big headache.

It really isnt, but like with every online game too many people play on Dial-up, or download too much shit while playing.

Not sure, takes a while and a lot of points to get to max, I guess. Only so many points to spread around.

I don’t see the point of Deep Pockets personally, when you can carry 9 bags worth of equipment anyway. But it’s apparently a must have, maybe I won’t understand until I’m on Infernal. Dwarf doesn’t need more than 2 evades, since nothing he does is worth chaining together with evade cancels.

deep pockets is a must just because you can max it out for free due to the respec glitch.

Plus, more room for potions is great.

You guys really don’t get how awesome potions are, even online I don’t see anyone use any potions besides health.

I’ve been experimenting with damage potions with my elf…and holy crap can she chew through some boss HP.

Every boss fight you’d best believe that I’m popping a +damage potion.

I use them with my elf. I also use rings and scrolls with her.

So you get what kind of bonus from nonequipped items?

And it that’s the case I see why that makes Deep pockets so awesome.

Also someone on vita add me lol.

So I have one talisman left and I have to beat the Red Dragon to get it. Honestly I am finding it very difficult to do and I am lvl35 Fighter. Any tips on what I should do before I tackle this boss fight?

Punch him in the face harder, or team up with people.

Depends on your build.

Shouldn’t be much of a problem if you got a good amount of points in defensive skills.

@Matriarch, whats your skill build like for Sorc? Planning on going hard this weekend.

^Load up on Anti-Dragon weaponry and armor. Anything that does Ice-based damage will help also. Lure Red to the corners so he won’t do fire breath. Fighter has those blocks/counter, right? Bust those out when he stomps… Evade the falling rocks and bite/grab combo. Rinse and repeat till he goes down.
As everyone has mentioned, pop those strength potions before fighting him. Max Cyclone helps. If you need more skill points, do some quests to boost your abilities.

All else fails, grab a Wizard/Sorceress player to bust out some Ice spells to help drop him faster.

make sure your first time to get some damage done in the gold room. if you can get about 20-25% you should be okay to go through the door. as long as you can beat him before the crumbling path, you should still get the talisman.

after the door, its just recognizing the patterns, and there’s actually a safe zone inside of the red dragon most of his cycles. just gotta watch out for bite, but you’ll be safe from rocks, and most of his other attacks. the other attack you need to watch out for is the big flame. you can use the shield (boring), but i just time and jump over the start of the flame and then you should be able to land safely on the left side of the screen and beat on him while he’s finishing his flame breath. gives you a about 10 free seconds of damage.

having solid teammates/distractions are pretty useful too.

or… OR… just stay in the gold room and just pay your way through. that’s always the more bullish option.

My Sorceress is 88, so I have a few more points to spend. But I can share what I’ve done so far.

  1. MP Absorb: Decent if you’re playing solo (because you’re the one getting all the kills), but in a party you will most likely rarely be getting killing blows. I skipped it after respeccing at higher levels.

  2. Extract: Very useful for regaining MP while your spells are hitting, especially if you’re running an ice staff. If your magic shot hits multiple enemies at once (like if they’re stacked on top of each other) it can trigger multiple times off the same attack. I find a handful of ranks is plenty to keep your MP full off a freeze.

  3. Concentrate: Max it out. If another rank is available it’s almost always the best skill to invest in.

  4. Spirit up: Max it out. More MP is always good.

  5. Ice Prison: IMO one of the best utility spells in the game. You can use it defensively to block out mobs or offensively to trap a target while your party beats the crap out of them. Works great on a number of boss fights and hectic room with lots of mobs. Max it out.

  6. Protection: Amazing spell both solo and in a party. Greatly reduces damage taken and makes your party immune to knock back. The amount of damage it can allow your party to do is immense as it allows others to get more out of their abilities and potions because they’re not having to dodge or get knocked off their target. Max it out. One of the best reasons to have a Sorceress in the party is this spell right here.

  7. Rock Press: Good damage on the enemies the rock drops on and stuns every enemy that’s touching the ground for some time. Great mix of both damage and CC. Max it out.

  8. Animate Skeleton: These start out pretty weak but by the time you max it out you’ll have the ability to have up to 4 minions that are always equal to your level. They’re pretty easy to kill but can rack up damage pretty fast, especially if you’re helping to lock down targets with CC. They buy you a lot of time as they help to distract enemies to give you time to recharge mana or cast spells. They’re also cheaper than using bones to resurrect NPCs. If you’re playing solo I would highly recommend using them, but in a party situation they’re not quite as vital. However, they will soak a lot of damage that might otherwise be directed at your party. I’d say play around with the talent. I maxed it out and love them.

  9. Levitation: Put your first rank into this as soon as possible. This will greatly improve your mobility and aid in survivability. As you put more ranks into it you’ll get a bigger damage boost by attacking from the air. Max it out. Synergizes well with Evasion cancelling air attacks.

  10. Create Food: Whether in a party or solo, being able to create your own food is crazy good. The more points you put in will increase the number of times you can conjure food, the quality of the food, and the number it creates. Characters can have up to 150% of their HP in temporary HP from food, so keeping everyone well fed is important. If you’re playing with NPCs it can greatly extend how long they survive. Max it out.

  11. Deep Pockets: You’re going to be holding a lot of spells, so max this out. Essential for any character. I run 4 spells on shortcuts (Blizzard, Rock Press, Protection, and Ice Prison) and manually select Conjure food since you tend to want to use it out of combat.

  12. Evasion: Casters have a slightly different ground evade that allows them to wink out for a period of time and control where you’ll appear. It eats MP as you’re winked out, but you’re completely invincible. You’re very fragile so max it out.

  13. Adroit hands: This becomes more and more necessary as you get into the harder difficulties because it allows you to cast spell skills very rapidly. I’d recommend at least a handful of ranks. When you’re on Infernal bosses you’ll be glad you have this.

  14. Nutritionist: Put at least a point in this. If you’re conjuring food you might as well get more out of it.

5 times on one character my connection timed out, losing me all my score and talismans. I would be in inferno mode already if not for this glitch. My internet is not the best, so a game dropping is fine, but to repeatedly lose hours of progress is fucking unacceptable. I’d be less miffed if everything else wasn’t saved… but it is…

Sorry to complain, but this ruining the game for me. God my head hurts right now.

Is androit hands important for an Amazon?
I don’t tend to use many items.

I too had thought about a Vampire Hunter class. I imagine them being like the Dark Knights in FFT, with a lot of moves based on draining health from enemies.

I also definitely would like a Dark Elf class. She could have skills based on riding beasts, calling beasts to do battle as her minions or just mount, maybe even taming enemies in the field to become her minions. Plus I mean, c’mon, look at her. I’d play as that all night long. She could mount me anytime.

On the subject of DLC, I’d love to see some new dungeons - especially a “Gazer Homeworld” dungeon. That would be fucking amazing.
