Dragon's Crown (Chun-li has been dethroned as Queen of Thighs)

this is why you should chain. you get a chance to boost your loot level every time you chain levels. go pray too… its cheap, and you’ll get that gold back from bonuses to chaining. usually by my first 3-4 levels, i’m getting consistent A’s and S’s.

sorcs probably should skeletons from level 40-60 because the damage curve is pretty skewed away from them. i didnt have skeletons until infernal and realized how poorly i was doing damagewise before that.

and if you can, people should just jump into random rooms online if you are trying to beat the game. this game was built to piggyback, and you can pick up bones of the people you play with, which means you have the chance of getting a much higher level players bones as opposed to the npc bones which scale to your level. that will prove beneficial when you gotta do ancient dragon runs. having a npc teammate 10 levels higher than you can make this game much easier.

Ancient dragon felt pretty trivial with wizard? I just summoned tornados and spammed up-cirlce/air circle lightning staff spells. I was disappointed how mindless he was compared to basically every other boss.

I don’t chain because I rarely have the time. I’ve only finished the first floor of the labyrinth and I may be able to again a couple of levels at a time.

Are you saying to raise skeletons or not to? I’m confused by your second paragraph.

I use the skeletons all the time. They’re pretty fuckin’ stupid and they cant take damage for shit but they dish out some good damage. Im able to summon 3 now and there are always bones for me to replace a destroyed/badly damaged skeleton.

I jumped into some dude’s game last night and picked up level 99 loot.
Wish I would have grabbed some bones

i would use skeletons. but i can imagine how much it would depend on if you played online and how much you depend on npc characters.

npc characters will always scale when playing offline, so they will keep getting better but only as good as you. so its not a bad idea to pick them up. but since i play online, i don’t really have the need for most npcs, and the ones i do have are leveled up higher than my current level (i’m 78 and i completed my infernal dragon fight with lv 90+ npcs). so picking up bones really doesn’t do anything for me.

skeletons can’t take many hits, but they do a few things:

  1. dish out good damage
  2. distract other enemies
  3. are costless (no mp or gold loss)

1 is an obvious need for the sorc, and when paired with an ice element, you can freeze while they pummel enemies. you can get similar effects with fire pillars (no real equivalent with lightning outside of just magic spam). 2 is good when you just need to get space. these guys almost seem draw other enemies so you won’t need to run across screen as you would when enemies are focused on you, which just makes you more efficient. 3 is good only if picking up the bones has less value than killing a half dozen enemies quickly. where you place that value is up to you.

Oh don’t get me wrong. I love skeletons. Combined with an ice staff or the down attack on an electric, they rinse through enemies. I generally play solo offline so they’re all I have in terms of backup. bosses wreck them.

I typically necro until I’m at the max. Then I’ll pick up bones so I’ll have higher level npcs to help out my lower level characters.

I chained five dungeons as soon as I could with my wizard and still ended up with subparstuff.

My Amazon is currently on level 96. This how my build is right now.

I still have a couple of points to spend and don’t know what else to use them on. I feel as though I got all I need with her.

No Adroit Hands? You fuckin’ up, sir.

You should max Adroit Hands.

The random rooms just drive me nuts online, people charging past side rooms with treasure chests, and dumping shit food on my plate while I’m tryin to cook.

They ought to just patch that out, and only allow people to drop food on their own plate.

I wish people would stop stealing the shit Im making.

I don’t use items often enough to make Adroit Hands useful to me.

Time to get all other classes to 30, so I can fill my gallery up.

Then I’ll work on actually building truly gdlk bags for my Amazon.

ohhhhh it makes the kill that much more satisfying— Ancient Dragon finally went down today…final battle taking place right at the end of my lunch-hour. Here’s the thing… I had an ice staff previously but wasn’t using it since it was “only” a B-rank; I had S-rank Lightning and A-rank Fire staffs… I mistakenly figured the lower rank would basically ruin the fact that Ice would normally be the logical and obvious choice to use against him. I didn’t even realize just how much the up+O straight shot would hit him for with the ice! Holy shit it spreads out and hits him in multiple areas…the damage is DELICIOUS compared to what I was doing previously. After getting accustomed to stopping his various attacks that can be stopped, the only real problem later was making sure the stone walls were kept intact and taking out any crossbow skeletons IMMEDIATELY when they show up…sometimes I’d just get the damn weapon and shoot all the arrows out of it asap so they don’t have that little toy anymore. I also gave up on using AI allies a long time ago, since boss HP is apparently less without them around.

Ice Staff’s whirlwind is perfect for protecting the stone walls too…this combined with the Fireward keeps nearly every magic shot from hitting the walls. Whenever he came back close I hit with the jumping up+O shots…the damage is beautiful when you also remember to use the “Strong” juice, of course. The screen flashing with that last hit…such a great moment… so satisfying… “Chojin” the wizard now finally ascends to Hard mode, and the Legend of the Overfiend continues…

…I may as well throw away the damn golem magic…I see it as such a waste of 2 skill-points now. The thing is hardly any real help since it takes him forever to throw a punch. By the time it attacks enemies, they’ve already cut his health in half, or he’s on fire and will eventually burn to death.

Is the max health frowned upon for some reason? That is one of the few common skills I found myself caring about.

Is it always a random room on vita unless you join with friends?

All the people I get are lower level than me, is it because I haven’t beaten the Ancient Dragon yet?

Was looking through the gallery and thought about additional classes they could add
