I included Deep Pockets since it should be maxed anyways, glitch or not. Evasion maxed because evasion is good, even if you only have level 2; there really isn’t a whole lot to invest points in at that point anyways. I’d need to experiment more with Grand Smash since it has a fairly long cooldown. You would have to calculate the damage lost through fighting barehanded vs damage done through Grand Smash, so I don’t know if maxing Grand Smash first would be ideal. Not sure though and it’d need testing. There’s probably a threshold where you move from Lethal Fist leveling to maxing Grand Smash.
The only skill I haven’t found a use for the skill that lowers your chance of your bow attack being interrupted. I suppose it could be useful against bosses, especially the large ones. Against them, I like to charge an upwards power shot combined with Clone Strikes + Salamander Oil/Toxic Extract, which usually has me standing directly underneath them for maximum damage.
I really like Clone Strikes. What you can do with that is repeatedly dash + Circle to hit multiple mobs and knock them down. It’s also good in combination with Salamander Oil/Toxic Extract.
Personally, I’m a fan of Maintenance. If you max it out, you get a 50% chance of not decreasing the number of uses of a temp weapon. The best use for Maintenance is in combination with Holdout Dagger and Backstab, which does crazy damage.
I would put a few points into Spirit Magic but I’m not sure about maxing it out because my main damage comes from arrows/daggers, plus the spells you can use is entirely dependent on your environment. Luckily, the default mini-tornado attack is great because it hits multiple enemies multiple times. Works best against stationary/slow-moving/big targets.
Lv. 2 Evasion is really good to have. The Elf is already mobile, but the extra evades are worth it, especially against full-screen attacks.
I don’t really want to tell people what to use/avoid, but the above skills are what worked for me. I encourage using whatever skill and finding your own tech. When people try to push a certain build, it usually means that others builds went unexplored.
The gold usage affects your overall score, which ultimately has an effect on EXP, so don’t die.
Found out that it is possible to throw bombs by pressing forward+triangle, and it does a ton of damage as a dwarf with Powder mastery. Does Maintenance work with Bombs?
Got another Amnesia Elixir and decided to Respec my Amazon for max possible damage.
Took a lot of points out of Brutal Drive & Neck Splitter to max out Adrenaline, Brandish, Punisher and Berserker.
Haven’t tried Adrenaline yet, but seeing how I’m underleveled in Infernal I tend to stay in the ‘anything = Touch of Death’ health status a lot.
Dwarf note: finding Frenzy quite good on Inferno, the key being that you really want weapons with on-hit Freeze/Petrify/Stun (and to a lesser extent Poison).
You land so many hits with Frenzy that it becomes quite a good way to control elite monsters when there’s nothing convenient to throw.
What is the difference between Sorceress and Wizard? Also Dwarf is the greatest. Nothing is more satisfying than picking someone up and tossing them into a mob.
Well, out-leveling things just works obviously…like with any other RPG. I came back as a level 32 Wizard (with AI-controlled crew.) and demolished Wraith surprisingly fast… it was by the 2nd lighted statue… “Chojin” is level 33 now…and just found 3 or 4 S-rank items from that adventure.
I’m so addicted to this… 3 characters now with my family of Wizard, Dwarf and Fighter.
*More color choices would be nice…I’d prefer full color customization though.
To anyone who sent me an fr in the past few days I’m not ignoring it just still having problems with playstation network. I’m trying to share my mobile broadband connection yet keep getting an ethernet cable error : |
Let the Kraken destroy the cave, when he does you’ll wake up on a shore type place and there will be a fish laying next to you. Use the cursor to click on it.
With my elf I abuse the shit out of evade. I have it maxed out and stay in the air when I’m nailing a large enemy or boss. double jump, 4 shots, evade to the other side, 4 shots, up kick, 4 shots, evade, etc. It’s especially useful when you have mobs running around you need to avoid and just want to focus on the big guy.
