Well, I hit level cap in FF14 beta, and have a second job almost at cap too. In order to not waste my exp rewards, I’m done until early access, which means back to Dragon’s Crown.
I’m soloing dungeon chains at the moment. Streaming it for a bit. Check it out if you’re interested in seeing my Amazon’s build/gear. Link here: http://www.twitch.tv/swbeta
edit: I’m also down to duo and/or help folks out. I can’t do 3 or 4 players because too much stuff on screen. Let me know.
Does the dungeon chaining freeze happen only during online play? The only major slow down I’ve ever noticed is when that turd of a Kraken is trying to rip my boat in half. Which I think I’ve only ever once prevented on my first time dealing with it.
Still have yet to go online for fear of hacked bones.
I can’t really comment on the online freezing issue, but the hacked bones are no where near as big of a deal as people make it out. I recently got the hacked bones. I made a second saved filed, buried the bones and sold the item with no issues to either save files. No need to let someething like that keep you from playing online.
Some gaming stores carry the USA import version, since the PS3 is region free.
I got myself one of those, wasn’t going to want on some eternal delayed EU release and miss out on all the fun.
The more I play solo, the more solid my belief is that the Wraith and the Elder Demon are the hardest bosses, due to the sheer amount of skeletons/demonspawn that flood the screen with attacks. There are more of those in these fights than the final boss.
Dungeon chain freezing glitch only happens online. You can chain forever offline if you so wish.
I’ve been doing this for a while, but if you wanna effectively have five shortcut items/skills instead of four, have the fifth item in the top spot, where your weapon would go by default. Now you can just push down to use it any time instead of fiddling with your bag mid-battle.
*yeah, I actually just started that today… I keep the heal potion or the “strong” juice (Gummi Berry Juice?) up there…easy access and it keeps the regular 4 spots available for something else.
Next character to make…might finally be Amazon…or Elf…decisions decisions.
I need to master the short cuts. Frantically scrolling trying to find the right item I want is a pain in the ass.
I have yet to try it myself but is it true you can equip more than one weapon in your bag, and if your first gets knocked out you can just switch to the second instantly? That would be
a huge help against bosses!
