I maxed out my Dwarf on Normal…and the Red Dragon is the only thing between me and the Ancient Dragon.
That dragon keeps pwning me and my NPCs.
If you are playing on the Vita i’ll be able to help you with the red dragon in 10 minutes.
Bleh…I’m on the PS3.
I can help, it’s actually kind of simple with the dwarf depending on your skills.
PSN Clievile
It’ll have to be during the weekend…I’m at work ATM.
Thanks though.
New character time… the adventures of “ABUSE” the Dwarf have just begun! This game is the greatest, man… chumps step up to just get their ass thrown out like Jazz on so many episodes of Fresh Prince.
Duoed floors 1-9 of Chaos Labyrinth in one sitting. Got 33 S ranks and that godlike staff with +50% Protect effectiveness. I guess we’re at endgame now?
Local co-op is great when you actually get to play the game. Having to wait around while another guy organizes 9 bags worth of inventory and agonizes over what to spend SP on isn’t.
Buhnquifa the Sorceress is at level 16 now. Her power grows with every adventure.
Damn, nice name.
Mines is named “Grumpy” because of that movie and shit.
I hate the character limit, really prevents you from getting creative/stupid with the names.
Got one of those hacked characters. I keep burying them and they keep giving me an item.
I thought that telling the game not to take me online when I go to the stables would prevent me from picking up another player’s character, but apparently not.
i got a wizard ready by the name of munchhaussen as soon as i get the game. gutts the fighter, and ill think abou the rest when i actually get the game.
man the red dragon is giving you problems? And you maxed out? And you using NPCs?
man I smashed that asshole out last night with my lvl 30 dwarf. The trick is you need wake his bitch ass up in the treasure room and proceed to give him the beats in that small ass treasure area. Get him down to about 50%/60% health then start the chase.
Fuck that chase, I killed him the room with my Sorc and 3 NPCs on my second go against him. Had to buy back my NPCs for the distraction factor. Something tells me I’ll learn not to need it, though.
NPCs are stupid and useless, though I will say that programming them to stand behind the shield during the chase was a welcome surprise.
The trick is to use damage and defense potions(and lava infusion if you have it) before waking him up/on respawn if you die, pump up, and mash on him with frenzy.
Dodge if he gets ready to attack, and if he goes for the fire breath you hit him with the grand smash for the invincibility frames.
That’s how I did it.
Potions before boss fights, it’s really helpful for soloing, or even just to make them go faster in a group.
/Rant
I think it’s cool that there are 3 different types of elements for the Sorceress and Wizard to use with weapons. I think it’s cool that each has their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of damage, CC, AOE, range, and mana efficiency. However, I find it annoying when you get a cool weapon and it’s in an element style that you don’t like. I’m very partial to ice because of the CC and combo potential. Fire is acceptable because the style is very similar to ice, but I dislike the lightning style because it’s so mana inefficient.
None of the other classes have this issue of various weapon types changing what moves you have available. Not only does the element impact your fighting style, but it can even determine how you interact with the environment in some areas (ex: fire weapons can start fires in oil and fire spells don’t work when you’re in water, ice can put out fires, etc).
This might sound like a minor thing, but if there are 3 elements and I have an equal chance of getting each one, I will only have a 1 in 3 chance of getting one that I’ll really enjoy using (assuming a good staff even drops to begin with). When I play my elf I actually find it refreshing that if a bow drops and it’s better stats wise, I can use it and it won’t really change my fighting style. When a better staff drops for my sorceress and it’s not in an element I like using I’ll generally pass on it unless it’s a massive upgrade.
Granted, it feels really good to see that S-rank ice staff, but the element just adds an extra level of randomness that I’d rather not deal with. I feel that the game designers should have made a way where the player can alter the element of their staff/rod. Maybe buy an elemental gem and equip it to the weapon or something.
TLDR: I hate using lightning weapons and the damn game keeps making all my good staff drops lightning and it’s pissing me off.
Looks like you’re going to have to learn to love lightning.
So whats this ive been hearing of a glitch you can abuse with yours bags to keep skills while resetting your skill points?
Basically if you respec your character…your skills reset, except for Deep Pockets. However, you still get the points back you used on Deep Pockets. It’s like you are getting extra points.
Meanwhile…I’m gonna make a bag specifically for the Red Dragon.
Buffs and shit.
Does anyone know who should get what type of food in the cooking mini game?
Doesn’t matter.
All you need to know is boss meat is what you need to be gunning for, and when you start cooking, stir and throw as many topping in it as possible before it starts to steam so you can get the maximum buffs. Highest i’ve gotten is 450-something HP, I forget the rest.
Boss meats that I can think of are:
Vampire Bats(Can be from either Catacombs boss it seems)
Killer Rabbit(there’s a regular upsidedown hanging rabbit, not the one you want, you want a really big and raggedy looking rabbit slumped over like a stuffed animal, always on the right side if you killed the Killer Rabbit during your current chaining run)
Red Dragon Steak(a circle of meat with a bone in it, red scales around it, always on the left side if you killed the Red Dragon during our current chaining run)
Wyvern Steak(Same as Red Dragon Steak, but smaller and green like the main Wyvern)
Snakes on a Stick(Medusa, but I think I may have seen them after other bosses, always right side) they cook hella fast though
Harpy Eggs(From Harpy)
Arch Demon Heart(From Arch Demon, right side, giant angular looking piece of meat)
Chimera (Really gross looking multicolored ball of meat, right side)
I’ve yet to see anything for either of the Wallace bosses yet, the Wraith, Minotaur, Gargoyle Gate, Golems, Warlock, or the Gazer.
The pans fry, they cook the fastest, so you wanna throw the boss meat on them, then throw one of the other regular foods in the closest pot to sit for a tiny bit while you prepare the main course, once you’re done with that, you move on to your side thing, take care of that, then repeat.
Mash R3 to eat faster.
I’d assume the reason I haven’t seen the other boss meats yet is because I haven’t really been chaining lately, and I haven’t been playing as often as previously either.

Basically if you respec your character…your skills reset, except for Deep Pockets. However, you still get the points back you used on Deep Pockets. It’s like you are getting extra points.
Meanwhile…I’m gonna make a bag specifically for the Red Dragon.
Buffs and shit.
I’m tell’n you, at the point you’re at, you don’t need any specified bags yet, for now you just have to learn the bosses, their patterns, and what to do in certain situations.
Dwarf rips through bosses better than the other characters once you figure out his rhythm for each boss.
