I’ve yet to see anything for either of the Wallace bosses yet, the Wraith, Minotaur, Gargoyle Gate, Golems, Warlock, or the Gazer.

Minotaur drops Minotaur’s Tongue, Gazer drops Gazer Eyeballs.

God damn… Hard mode is actually pretty hard! Made it through two floors of chaos and did some of the A path bosses as well.

Am I reading this right, the Egotist’s Chaos Amulet gives ME 30% more damage??? And I deal 30% less? Ouch!

I’m tell’n you, at the point you’re at, you don’t need any specified bags yet, for now you just have to learn the bosses, their patterns, and what to do in certain situations.

Dwarf rips through bosses better than the other characters once you figure out his rhythm for each boss.

After I came back from work…I said fuck it, and went after Red alone.
Took a while…but I beat him without having to go to past the room.
Didn’t even have to make a bag just for that boss.

I enjoyed eating its carcass afterwards…

Then I went straight for the Boss…I barely beat it due to the 5 crossbow-using BLACK skeltors attacking me.

Didn’t you know dude? It isn’t the Ancient Dragon that is the final boss. It is those cross bow wielding skeletons that are the true final boss… Black Skeletons is its final form.

I think it’s cool that there are 3 different types of elements for the Sorceress and Wizard to use with weapons. I think it’s cool that each has their own advantages and disadvantages in terms of damage, CC, AOE, range, and mana efficiency. However, I find it annoying when you get a cool weapon and it’s in an element style that you don’t like. I’m very partial to ice because of the CC and combo potential. Fire is acceptable because the style is very similar to ice, but I dislike the lightning style because it’s so mana inefficient.

None of the other classes have this issue of various weapon types changing what moves you have available. Not only does the element impact your fighting style, but it can even determine how you interact with the environment in some areas (ex: fire weapons can start fires in oil and fire spells don’t work when you’re in water, ice can put out fires, etc).

This might sound like a minor thing, but if there are 3 elements and I have an equal chance of getting each one, I will only have a 1 in 3 chance of getting one that I’ll really enjoy using (assuming a good staff even drops to begin with). When I play my elf I actually find it refreshing that if a bow drops and it’s better stats wise, I can use it and it won’t really change my fighting style. When a better staff drops for my sorceress and it’s not in an element I like using I’ll generally pass on it unless it’s a massive upgrade.

Granted, it feels really good to see that S-rank ice staff, but the element just adds an extra level of randomness that I’d rather not deal with. I feel that the game designers should have made a way where the player can alter the element of their staff/rod. Maybe buy an elemental gem and equip it to the weapon or something.

TLDR: I hate using lightning weapons and the damn game keeps making all my good staff drops lightning and it’s pissing me off.

Conversely my brother loves lightning due to the air spells or something like that. He seems to be okay with the mana usage, but I guess that’s because I’m the most active thing on the screen so he always gets a chance to recharge because I’m dive kicking everywhere.

I dont mind the lightning, I like zapping bad dudes from afar while my buddys do the close up fighting. I also like to do hit and runs with the lightning storm attack.

Funny, I was thinking about this the other day. I actually prefer lightning weapons, but I never find one with the attributes I want. Sure, they burn mana like a stoner at 4:20, but the amount of screen they control is great. Though, it does say something when the “MP used and Dmg -11%” attribute actually benefits a weapon. That air thunderstorm is too damn strong and shuts down so much area. And to have an actual horizontal full screen attack works really well for my play style with her.

Lightning covers a lot of area but I think the major component that makes it absolutely essential (imo) is its extremely high stun rate. Grounded Down + Circle is almost guaranteed stun to mobs that aren’t immune(mage, skeleton, tree) and for elites getting hit will slow them down on top of eventually succumbing to a stun anyway.

Yo, I succumbed to the younger drizzt inside and played for like 2 or 3 hours last night. Maybe even more!

Edit - got stuck trying to finish one quest. Had to kill bugbears and only needed 4 more. I had to run some dungeon over and over and ove…like a couple hours yo. I was all passing out but I wasnt crashing till I finshed that shit.

Yeah I’d call lightning more mana intensive, than mana inefficient. The air lightning spell is nuts, and the up lighting on the ground is pretty fast/high damage.

I haven’t been on much at all of late, even though I got the game on the first day. Looks like everything else picked up after I thought I would have some free time to get team bootyslam all-stars into that dungeon chain thing. Soon as I level up the amazon to full, I’ll grab the elf or maybe the fighter. Not sure, but time will tell.
