Does anyone like the Dragonlance series? They’re on book 13 already
and book 1 will be in the theaters in the fall. But I think it’ll suck because it’s animated.

DL! I used to read these like crazy but then Jean Rabe’s trilogy kind of killed it for me. Mostly I’ve just been reading the core titles now instead of every single one that comes out. Waiting for the rest of the Mina trilogy to come out in paperback.
The short story anthologies are always really great too. I usually have one or two of those sitting next to the john.
WTF? dude they have more than 13 books
raistlin owns all anyway
the rest is garbage
they kept the garage annoying kender alive till the very end
i hate tas
i stoped reading after mina got owned, what happened after takhishis dies anywho? oops i hope i ddint just spoil the series LOL!
People read books for fun? GTFO.
dragonlance is the fucking bomb diggety. i stopped reading after the Chaos book tho. shit got gay
dude chaos was like one book wack, they could easily have split that into a good trilogy
sux how they killed two of caramons sons (OOPS SPOILERS) but kept the annoying one palin alive. he was supposed to be stronger than raist, but palin kinda sucked, didnt really seem that powerful to me
ps i am drunk so im spoiling the series
PSS: raist was going 2 become a god (and cause the end of existence cause he would have killed everyhting), cept caramon challenged his bro at the end, and raist decided not to go through with it
Yeah that was huge…he choose an enterity of torture because of the love for his brother. Huge.
Palin was a pussy. He was only supposed to be stronger cause he could cast that one spell that only magus good cast. Either way, even dalamar was better than palin.
There might be 13 Dragon novels…but there’s tons and tons of dragonlance novels.
Has anyone read the Death Gate Cycle? It was also written by margret wies and tracy hickman. It’s seriously the sickest series i have ever read. The first three dragon novels and the twins series is the only other thing that even comes close.
Is death gate their newest one? when does it take place?
So whats the series after the one that takhishis dies, i want to see what happens to mina. i hope that bitch gets owned.
Naw death gate was a totally different series. it had nothing to do with dragonlance. It’s old man. i read it way back in high school.
oh i see. i associate those two with d&d automatically.
I’m talking about the core books. Kinda like how Star Wars has more episodes, books, etc. than just 6.
The main books are:
#01 Dragons of Autumn Twilight
#02 Dragons of Winter Night
#03 Dragons of Spring Dawning
#04 Time of the Twins
#05 War of the Twins
#06 Test of the Twins
#07 The Second Generation
#08 Dragons of Summer Flame
#09 Dragons of a Fallen Sun
#10 Dragons of a Lost Star
#11 Dragons of a Vanished Moon
#12 Amber and Ashes
#13 Amber and Iron
#14 Amber and Blood (Not yet released)
All the other books I consider filler books. Like filling some plotlines and plotholes, etc.
PS: Mina does the owning!!!
WTF mina owns?! i hate mina. shes annoying. shes the definition of a tool. she got tooled by the dragon queen and after her god died she cried like a little baby. shes responsible for goldmoon dying too
i guess im gonna have to get the amber series - i think ill wait till the third one is out, cause i dont like cliffhangers.
wtf? filler books? dude…
Dragonlance is about Krynn…the different books are different stories about different people that have nothing to do with the Heroes. You gotta read some of the different books man, there are some awesome stories. The series about all the draconians after the war is a really good one. it was a two book series, they might have done more afterwards.
The legend of Huma, and Kaz the minotuar are also good books.
Yeah…same here, they have a few different series though that don’t have anything to do with dragonlance. they are all pretty good. Seriously though, if you can find The Death Gate Cycle, read it. It’s so sick. It’s 7 books, i lost all my copies…but crazy enough my girlfriends buddy had all of them in hardcover.
Books still exist? I thought they went the way of the 8-Track.
Yes I have. I’ve read Wizards’ Conclave and so forth. Yes, some of the books are canon and some may or may not be canon, but all the books written by Weis and/or Hickman are canon…
SPOILERS…
Mina is and has always been a god :wow:
WTF?!?!?
…
im gonna have to read the amber series
i stopped at summer flame. think it was a good place to stop, too.
Agreed! That series is sick! I reccomend it to ANYBODY who likes fantasy!
I just finished the sidebook of Wizard’s Conclave. It’s pretty tight!
I used to read those D&D books back in the day. I never was really into D&D but like the books. Never read those dragonlance books though. The last book series I read was the “Druss the Legend” series. Not in the same vien…but more like Conan-ish vein. Has magic but overall just a dude with a big ass axe.
I like to read some entertaining books again. Unfortunately, Law School requires so much reading I rather tear my eyes out with a broken Toothpick than read anymore. Maybe over the summer…
