yajirobe can be pretty good, until someone proves me that senzu bean giving him the ability to instantly get ALL HIS LIFE BACK is not a fucked up thing to do late in the match then i think he’s viable. ( and this is BASE character, not even using capsules ) kind of like Taipion-lite.
i still like Burter, his rushdown is just too much fun to me, even if i think he sucks going up against anyone with a good transformation- he just can’t fight a lot of the SSJ / GT crowd.
at some point i’d like to talk tiers, but it’s still reeeaaaally early, so i’ll leave it be for now…
breaking a throw(not having your throw broke), doing that special rush block, and id assume the one thing where your gaurd gets broken from a side attack(didnt test lazy)counts as you acctualy being hit. so you can after image after it to cancle your recover to get a “free” combo to say apperently. Since the opponent cant move. Again this doesnt count for the other guy even though there in the same animation as guess the game doesnt count them as acctualy hitting you it seems.
Also it seems you can get some bugs similar to the first game in freezeing characters with sonic sway. However I havnt been able to reproduce it shrug. But ive deffintly seen it so its there shrug.
Not hatin’, but still very surprised that DBZ games sell well enough to make this many sequels. Last one I played was Part 2 on the PS2. This one actually looks pretty good.
I don’t even see these games advertised, and AFAIK DBZ don’t come on Cartoon Network anymore… so where is the advertising coming from?
Looks pretty solid, if I still had a playstation I’d snatch it up.
Actually, DBZ has been on Cartoon Network again for a good… 4 months or so. Saturdays at 10:30 EST
And I’m really looking forward to this game. Haven’t played one since the first BT and that was balls. So hearing things have been vastly improved, I’m game.
ahh… Dude… Your blog is wrong. You can teleport stun moves. Sorry. Also to say although you can not teleport regular attacks durning back combo. You can parry out of it.
There is very very VERY little gaurented in this game. Your confused I think. Even stuff like counter specials you can teleport out of it. They game is a teleport fest dude… Like I said only thing that cant be teleport that ive seen is a regular attack. But in a sence that doenst matter beacuse you can parry out of it shrug. Even teleports count as a special move now, so you can teleport another dudes teleport even if they arent near you do to that proxemity effect the game has as long as you dont go back to neutral or whatever…
anyway umm yea… I dunno… Have you tried playing the cpu? Im not even saying the cpu is good, cuz CPU jobs even at hardest level to simple stuff, but the cpu teleports like a mother fucker so I dont know how you couldnt have known that this stuff is teleport able shrug.
Hell like ive said Ive even seen teh cpu teleport regular fireballs… No idea how cpu does it, I can only assume its a bug wtih the proxeity effect and not going back to neutral.
im comment on stuff like these… this is not true combo. You can get out of it. Unless for some reason only regular goku can do it. But it sure as fuck doesnt work with other characters.
actually a shitload of stuff in that game arent true combos. It is an example of a combo.
Edit: I see what you mean now. I will edit that soon. Thanks.
What’s sad about this game to me is that if it had come out like… 3 years ago… it would’ve been EPIC, and hit around when DBZ was still SO HOT that you could make Goku toliet paper and sell that shit to people.
It looks really badass in play. I’m just sorry it took this long to actually make a game that replicates the fighting on that show.
The combo in that video is a true combo up until the heavy finisher. Characters like Goku who have flying kicks and ki cannon can string some pretty decent combos. But others like Vegeta, who have the flying kicks, ki cannons and the charged ki blasts all in their movelist… can rack up some really dangerous combos.
The ki cannon is good because you can use it twice. The first time you use it, it stuns. The second time you use it, it knocks back. It adds a ton of versatility. This is really overlooked, which is why I bring it up.
It depends which teleport you’re talking about. If you’re talking about super movement where you can freely teleport at max power mode, you can’t counter teleport. But if you do the melee teleports, you can counter teleport. It adds another layer of strategy to the game, as it is really useful to do the melee teleports to push the defender into doing something.
Do you even try what im talking about? why dont you go to training mode put it to hardest, pick goku vs gogeta(some character that acctualy fights back)and only do that combo in the video. It doesnt come close to being a real combo. Almost everything in this game is not gaurented. And that combo is one of them. Seriously just go to training mode and just do that combo over and over so you can. Obviously im sure it will hit once or twice… but the cpu will get out of it. Not real combo. Hell even shit like throw to rush super or kamehameha from point black isnt a true combo.
I take what I said back… its a real combo up until the flying kicks. The CPU never blocks flying kicks (go figure). The combo isn’t teleport escapable up until the heavy finish is what I mean to say.
And of course a super kamehameha at point blank isn’t guaranteed. Forget about teleporting… you can even block that. That would be pretty cheap if you could just throw B2s at point blank and have them guaranteed to land.
Tell me, how would the CPU get out of that combo? The only possible moment is the part where you step in and launch the next attack. If you’re slow with executing that, it’ll be blocked. But other than that its guaranteed.
As long as your character has ki cannon, you can pull off guaranteed combos. I was wrong when I said flying kicks are guaranteed, but they can’t be teleported, and the CPU almost never blocks flying kicks.
